The company "Music City Card And Gifts And Collectible" package arrived damaged. I had ordered the "Wizard of Oz Wicked Witch Peering at Foursome 100MM Musical Water" globe. Cost $68.95 before taxes. One of the wings on the flying monkey was broken and the flying monkey's tail was broken off. Very disappointing, after waiting so long, eleven days total from date of purchase. Too late to return and make it back for Christmas 2013, and at this point I would not trust that the outcome of my unreasonable wait would be anything different than disappointment. I was in the process of attempting to return the damage item for a total refund which should include the cost of shipping it back, when I received a call from the company responding to the email and phone messages left . All I want now is my money back but I was told that they would not pay for my shipping to return item for refund but that they would ship me a replacement with expedited shipping if I was willing to pay the shipping difference cost. This does not sound like good customer service to me. I declined and asked if they were going to send me a label to return the item, the customer service representative responded a definite no. I would be on my own if I did not want to take their offer for a replacement. There way, not good business. I shipped the item back at a cost of $20.72. I'm not trusting that they will acknowledge receipt, so I mailed the package secured with signature verification.This was my first and my last experience with this company. MC&G will not answer their phone nor will they email or write me with an answer. Have been trying to reach them since 01/09/15. Cannot get my refund.MC&G informed me by email that the item I was interested in had come back in stock and so I ordered the item. When I received the Red Ruby Slipper clock, I found out that it did not work and also the hands were really loose when you tried to set it. After spending almost $30.00, I was not about to go out and have to buy an expensive battery and I did not like the hands anyway so I tried to inform them that I was sending it back. All you ever get from the phone number that I had (888-890-1464) was a machine that said they were either out of the office or on the phone with other customers. Well, they have been out of the office since January 9, 2015 which is when I left my first message. My first email was January 11, 2015 and they never have responded to either communication. By the way, the address that I have for them is in Reno, NV - 3500 Lakeside Court, Ste. 217, Reno, NV 89519. When I set the item back the post office said the zip code should have been 89509. The item was delivered to MCG on January 20, 2015 in/at mailbox so it sounds like something is not right. This is the second item that I have ordered from this company and cannot believe that they will not correspond with their customers. The total that I paid for this item was $18.95 and a whopping $7.80 in shipping charges for a grand total of $26.75. According to the invoice paper that comes with the item when it is delivered, they only give you 7 (seven) days to return the item and then you are going to lose your shipping charges and then a whopping 20% restock fee is going to be applied. In my email I informed them that I thought that was outrageous since the item did not work and they were doing nothing to remedy the situation. When I went onto the Reno, NV Revdex.com website, I noticed that there was another number for this company and it was 775-832-5287 and so I called and received the very same message as the other number. I know that it is really not a whole lot of money but it really gripes me that this type of business is out there taking money from people and then they are done with you no matter what kind of problem you have with the item. It also affects our 8 year old goddaughter who knew that she was going to receive this along with her red ruby slipper music box - what a bummer. If you can do anything about this company would surely appreciate it - would hate to see anybody else have to go through this garbage. I did send an email informing Ms. Hicks as to my situation and apologized for her difficulty in reaching me.
