Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: [redacted] is obviously confused with all that has occurred. And just as proof that we were charged I have attached two documents. One being the invoice showing the $200 dollar charge to us and the invoice being paid in full. It clearly states the cost and even the description. The second attachment, coming from Music in Motion's service booklet explaining the services and how much they cost. As you can see it says Wedding Package 1. The cost of $200 dollars and the details of it. Including wireless microphones. Unfortunately, Music in Motion does charge for microphones contrary to what [redacted] has stated. Lastly, for good order you can see the $1250 dollar package that also coincides with the same amount on our invoice. Not much more support is needed. Sincerely, [redacted] ***

Review: On August 15, 2014, Music in Motion was to handle our disc jockey duties for our wedding in Branford, CT. We had met with [redacted] about a year earlier when we looked for DJ's in the area and were really impressed by the company. One important aspect that we wanted to make sure we had were microphones so that our guests could hear our vows that my wife and I had made. [redacted] said that it would be available to us for a cost of 200 dollars in what was called in his Ceremony 1 Package. So, along with his DJ services, a photo booth, and a solo violinist, we also paid for the wireless microphone services. I have 3 separate invoices detailing all of these services and even itemizing the Ceremony Package 1. When we went through how the evening would transpire about a month before the big day, we made sure to reiterate that the microphones would be available. He agreed with us. About 2 weeks before our wedding, we then met with the actual DJ that was going to handle our wedding. He also confirmed that we had wireless microphones for us and "they are so loud they could be heard a half-mile away." When our day came, I went up to [redacted] and asked when I was going to get wired for the wedding. The look on his face and response was, "We don't have microphones for you". I was concerned and bewildered but let it go as I was going to be married in about 20 minutes. To make a long story short, we were not provided with our microphones and our guests said that they could not hear our vows or anything that was said throughout the ceremony outside.

When I contacted [redacted] about this and asked to be refunded he mentioned that the Justice of Peace must have asked us to not use them or that [redacted] felt it was not necessary. The Justice of Peace never mentioned this to [redacted] and this was not the DJ's place to decide whether we "needed" it. I was taken back that [redacted] tried to justify what had happened and offered us 50 dollars for our troubles.

After taking a couple days to think about what to do, I wrote back to [redacted] that his 50 dollars would be respectably declined and I wanted the entire amount refunded. This was written on September 14th and I have not heard back from [redacted] since then. Unfortunately, I had to take this step, but I do not want to see anyone go through this same scenario with Music in Motion.Desired Settlement: I would like to have a refund of 200 dollars. The money that we had paid to [redacted] and Music in Motion for microphones that we did not get. If needed, I have the invoice itemizing the Ceremony Package 1 and the booklet we received that shows exactly what that package offers.
