Review: I entered into a contract with MusicMakers for their Fall Semester 2013 for a total tuition paid of $1490.00. The semester was for voice and piano lessons. The lessons were with [redacted] and the piano lessons were with [redacted]. Within the first few weeks it was clear that the owner/director [redacted] was extremely disorganized along with the following other disappointments:*consistently late*piano keys not working*clutter everywhere*late cancels...usually day of...there were instances that we arrived for lessons and [redacted] was not there with no notice given or received from [redacted] would use the excuse that her 3 email accounts were not working properly.*no heat*house renovations, when we began lessons we were on the second floor of the home office...once house renovations began we were pushed to the first floor...into a room for voice which was the size of a closet..we were then moved into another room for piano where there were not noise reduction filters in use..there were bongos being played in the next room which were completely distracting...[redacted] even admitted that the bongos were distracting and yet there wasn't anything done about it.*recital...my daughter was to sing a solo and play a piano solo...[redacted] did not have on the program for the piano solo...claiming that she was not informed when in fact she had asked my daughter the week earlier which piano song she would be playing...my daughter was extremely disappointed.*since October my daughter had not had a piano lesson with her teacher...we were not advised of when her teacher would not be instructing and were left with a substitute...my daughter has not moved on in over 2 months.*I have called [redacted] leaving voice messages on both the office line and her cell phone; sent emails;and two text messages. [redacted] did reply to my 2nd text message with regard to my request for a phone call and refund.Desired Settlement: I am looking for a $600.00 refund from MusicMakers. I have given [redacted] ample opportunity to rectify this situation. I had spoken with [redacted] in October about my disappoint and frustration. [redacted] advised to bad...you signed a contract...I do not feel that [redacted] has lived up to her side of the contract. I am happy to say that our contract is now expired.
