issue these coupons to the customer, but that was not the case. The customer wasallowed to print the coupons that would have a secret code that our business could verify. Thisverification proved difficult if not impossible to do. We found that customers were counterfeitingthese coupons and cancelled our agreement with the company after approximately one month.Since that time (four years) no one has attempted to use these coupons.Ms. [redacted] also stated that they have been loyal customers for years. Why did she not use thecoupons three years ago? Her coupon was dated 2013.Ms. [redacted] expressed her displeasure that the owner would not come out to talk to her. We area small seasonal business. During business hours, we normally have three people workinginside: me as the cook, one cashier/drink maker, and one ice cream maker. It is difficult to stopworking to go outside to talk to people. So our servers follow these steps for complaints: 1)replace with a new item 2) refund money 3) both replace and refund. Ms. [redacted] was offeredher entire meal for free—she declined this offer.Finally, I am truly insulted that Ms. [redacted] implies that we would tamper with food! We havebeen in business for fifty-nine years and have received recognition from the Governor of Indianafor this.
