Mutual Builders and Acceptance Corporation Reviews (11)

Avoid this contractor, terrible workmanship

We have the proof they do shoddy work

My husband and I decided to remodel our kitchen and our bathroom. We called several contractors and found that Mutual Builders and Acceptance Corp gave us the cheapest estimation price so we use their service. The technicians were professional. They remodeled our kitchen and our bathroom within 7 days and sent the best results. We're satisfied with this company.

We had a leak coming from our roof and it caused a lot of damage. But [redacted] and his team provided an affordable quote that beat the other two I had gotten. He also had a crew that was very experienced and knew exactly what needed to be done. They had all of the tools, trucks and equipment that was needed. Now my roof looks like new and no longer have any leaks even under heavy storms. Would recommend them if you need a dependable and affordable roofing contractor that will stand behind their work!

Got a quote from another roofing company, and they were extremely high and said they wouldn't touch my solar water heating mechanism (it's located on my roof). Instead, they referred me to someone else who told me it would cost $1000 to remove the solar and put it back on.

The owner of Mutual Builders & Acceptance returned every phone call, was very responsive and considerate of my schedule due to the numerous rescheduling we had to do because of weather. His crew worked their butts off and cleaned up the mess every night!

I am extremely satisfied with Mutual Builders & Acceptance, this company is a gem to work with!

Review: We hired Mutual Builders to lay a carpet in our showroom 2 months ago. [redacted] was a recommendation of one of our customers. The project was supposed to be completed within a week. The job did not start until 2 weeks later. Although the start date of the job was renegotiated, we had to contact the company to find out why the job had not been started and when they could start. The job successfully started and people showed up to work on the project. After the first day of laying carpet, we noticed several problems and brought them to the Mutual Builders' attention. The following day, [redacted] stopped by and told me that the project is done. I did not have a second to check (which was my mistake) and gave him the check and signed all the papers. As soon as I got some free time I went to check out the new showroom and noticed several major problems: the seam was visible and not properly taped, the carpet was not stretched, the carpet did not reach to the baseboards in certain areas, there were some "patches" (inserts of carpet) right in the middle of the main walking area, the thresholds, were not properly attached, but instead glued to the carpet. I called [redacted] right away (30 min after he left) and pointed out to all these issues. He promised to address them. The crew came back for 2 days and addressed the thresholds but not the other issues . I called [redacted] again - he promised to take care of these issues (at this time I mentioned to [redacted] that the team seemed like they did not know what they were doing - he assured me that these were professionals and they did good work for him before). I waited another week and another [redacted]'s subcontractor came in. After he spent time to assess what he needed, he advised me that he would need to contact [redacted] as he will have to get the new carpet as the previous team overcut the carpet in many areas, incorrectly seemed the carpet and did not do other things that would have eliminated the existing issues. They tried calling [redacted],who did not answer and they left. Since then I tried to contact [redacted] with no return phone calls, emails etc. It has been 2 weeks now and I tried calling him and leaving messages every day.Desired Settlement: I would like this project to be finished either by [redacted]'s teams or someone else. He can bring the team over and properly lay the carpet or he can refund the money that I paid and I will hire someone else to do the job properly.

Response:

I did contact the owner and did send another carpet installer to check on the problem to be corrected. I spoke to him again and he will be calling Mr. [redacted] to schedule a time this week to replace the section of carpet and padding. I also want to get this correctedimmediately.[redacted]Mutual Builders

I did respond to his complaint and recaulked two windows. Also, agreed to add another downspout and fix other downspout with new mitreand reseal gutter. Customer agreed to move areas to provide clearance to recaulk two windows upstairs. I spoke to him on 7-30-15and told him I am sick and still have a sore throat and bad cold and as soon as I feel better, I will do the repairs.

The owner of Mutual Builders & Acceptance came to my home and gave me an estimate price to re-roof my home. He was a gentleman and very professional. I went with this company and I was not disappointed. My roofing now looks awesome and perfect.

They are great people. They repaired my deck and did a great work on my roofing. I would like to refer Mutual Builders & Acceptance to anyone.

Mutual Builders & Acceptance is the best! I called this place for estimate. They scheduled the work after two days and completed the work. They were on scheduled and the price is very reasonable! The gutter, downspouts and missing shingles that they replaced looks great! I highly recommend this place. Another advantage of this place, they emailed the estimate and they accept credit cards and sent the receipt via email. This place is quick in responding, pleasant to work with, complete the work timely and FIVE star service! :-)

I hired Mutual Builders and Acceptance Corp to remodeled my kitchen and I was satisfied with their work. They always on time, professional and transparent about everything. My kitchen now looks awesome and more elegant than before.

The roof on the income property had to be replaced, which could be a headache, as the top floor was rented out. Emailed Mutual Builders & Acceptance, and surprisingly got a response right away. Scheduled my appointment online (easy!) and within a day had an email quote in my inbox. The roof was replaced within 7 days from the initial contact with the firm. Tenants were extremely happy and the whole experience was smooth and painless. Only two of three quotes were even considered and Mutual Builders & Acceptance was one of them. Definitely recommend them as they seem to know what's important.
