Review: Mutual general Contracting Corp. removed my home's existing siding and installed new vynil siding improperly. The House wrap, foam backer board, and flashing they installed was not installed water tight. Water Is getting behind the products this contractor has installed and rotting the wood structure the products are designed to protect when installed correctly. They have viewed the damage and imporperly installed products and refuse to fix the damage and properly reinstall their product. They state that they have no guarantee and the work is five years old.Desired Settlement: Proper installation of Vynil siding and repair of damaged wood structure caused by the initial improperly installed vynil siding.

Our company worked at [redacted] house located at, [redacted]; on the [redacted] of September 2009. We extended his second floor. We did the whole framing of the second floor, roofing, windows, and siding. In the first floor we only replaced the siding. Almost 5 years have passed, we visited the site and the whole house first floor and second floor the siding is in good condition; only at one or two places the siding panel (piece) has flew off; which is due to the cause of natural disasters. Our company does not cover natural disasters and we did not have an agreement or warranty with [redacted] to maintain his house post construction. This type of damage is covered by home insurance companies. Also we did not replace or install new wood framing or plywood for his first floor walls, the old structure remained as it is. I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID# [redacted], and have determined that my complaint has NOT been resolved because:

Mutual General Contracting Corp. refuses to admitresponsibility for improper installation of the siding materials theyinstalled, they refuse to re-install the materials properly and they refuse torepair the damage that has resulted from the improper installation.There is no damage caused by "natural disasters"as claimed in [redacted]'s response. I removed the Vinyl Siding"panel (piece)" in order to show them the improper installation andthe damage that has resulted. The "repair" offered for $800.00 intheir response was not offered when they were on site before this complaint wasfilled with the Revdex.com. This Damage is not covered by Home Owners Insurance.I have pictures to support my complaint, thesepictures have been provided to [redacted] and they have inspectedin person what is shown in the pictures, prior to filling this complaint. I have attached one picture of many,the server will not let me submit more than one.Since submitting this complaint I have had three sidingcontractors inspect the installation and damage; [redacted],[redacted] and [redacted]. All three have confirmed improperinstallation of house wrap, foam board and flashing. Estimates for repair arestarting at $15,500 to $18,000. Extensive damage to wood sheathing is expectedto increase the cost of repair as more areas are uncovered.

Also thier buisness address at [redacted], no longer has thier sign, a new construction company sign has been posted. Review: installation of roof which cost over $11,000 unfortunately is not satisfactory as the snow that melts is leaking into the apartments and basement. Numerous phone calls and emails contacting the business have not gotten a response.Desired Settlement: repair of affected areas in roof to resolve leaking.
