Mutual of Omaha is a publicly traded company that exists for the profit of its shareholdersIt is impossible to get someone on the phoneThe application process was bizarre and painful - every week for six months they requested a different documentEverything from old tax returns to an employment contract (that my employer had to create since they do not use contracts)I am very disappointed in the application process personallyI dropped the issue when my friend's father passed and it became known that the family had spent months and had to hire an attorney to get Mutual of Omaha to honor the policyBe very cautious before proceeding into a business relationship with this company
I applied for an insurance policy in August and I still have no resolutionI was completely up front about my health (very good except some minor stuff) and employment situationMutual of Omaha has made my life very difficult requesting document after document every week for the past several monthsI work or more hours a week and dealing with them is becoming a full time jobOn a weekly basis they request seemingly random documents including old w2s, employment contracts, etcThese documents require some work to getTheir communication and customer service is atrociousI have tried to call and it is a serious time commitmentI wish I would have read all of the reviews online before I started this process because, if something happens to me, I would hate for my family to have to go through dealing with this company in the aftermathThey are unresponsive, it takes an hour to get someone on the phone and you can guarantee they will not have any answers or explanations and this is on the front endI can't imagine how difficult they would make it on the back endI am so disappointed in how I have been treated and I cannot imagine how they stay in business if they treat everyone this wayGod forbid you have to make a claim they will do everything they can to deny your family the benefits you are trying to get to protect themI am very disappointed and I caution you to look elsewhere or read everything very carefully before trusting Mutual of Omaha to take care of your family if something happens to youI do not trust them and I am looking elsewhere
I have subscribed with this company for a yearWithin this time frame I have received numerous calls and offers to either increase my policy amount or purchase other insurance productsI have consistently informed them of the amount subscribed for meets my needs, and the policy merely covers my shortfallThey do not listen and continues to solicit more coverageI am so annoyed, that I'm considering dropping my policyI get tired of the time consuming job of shredding unwanted documentsThey do not listenIf and when I need more coverage, I'll contact them! I'm concerned that, if they don't honor my wishes while I'm alive, What will they do when I pass?
Mutual of Omaha is a publicly traded company that exists for the profit of its shareholders. It is impossible to get someone on the phone. The application process was bizarre and painful - every week for six months they requested a different document. Everything from old tax returns to an employment contract (that my employer had to create since they do not use contracts). I am very disappointed in the application process personally. I dropped the issue when my friend's father passed and it became known that the family had spent 18 months and had to hire an attorney to get Mutual of Omaha to honor the policy. Be very cautious before proceeding into a business relationship with this company.
I applied for an insurance policy in August and I still have no resolution. I was completely up front about my health (very good except some minor stuff) and employment situation. Mutual of Omaha has made my life very difficult requesting document after document every week for the past several months. I work 60 or more hours a week and dealing with them is becoming a full time job. On a weekly basis they request seemingly random documents including old w2s, employment contracts, etc. These documents require some work to get. Their communication and customer service is atrocious. I have tried to call and it is a serious time commitment. I wish I would have read all of the reviews online before I started this process because, if something happens to me, I would hate for my family to have to go through dealing with this company in the aftermath. They are unresponsive, it takes an hour to get someone on the phone and you can guarantee they will not have any answers or explanations and this is on the front end. I can't imagine how difficult they would make it on the back end. I am so disappointed in how I have been treated and I cannot imagine how they stay in business if they treat everyone this way. God forbid you have to make a claim they will do everything they can to deny your family the benefits you are trying to get to protect them. I am very disappointed and I caution you to look elsewhere or read everything very carefully before trusting Mutual of Omaha to take care of your family if something happens to you. I do not trust them and I am looking elsewhere.
