Review: I purchased a 2001 Honda Civic GX through eBay. The condition stated minor scratches on doors, mechanical everything was great, and minor wear on interior.When the vehicle arrived it had extensive body damage, both bumpers cracked, hail damage, the "minor scratches on doors" were significant scratches and then painted over with a paint brush.The headliner is falling down, the A/c didn't work, excessive rattling at idle and under heavy acceleration and the air bag error light was on.I immediately contacted the seller. He said he would compensate me for the repairs, but suggested the vehicle may have been damaged in shipping.I made the major mechanical repairs and sent quotes on the other damage. I also contacted the shipping company and they provided a vehicle condition report indicating all of body damage was already there.The seller now says I bought it "as-is" but I told him I bought is as stated in his listing. His description wasn't close to how the vehicle actually is.I dealt with [redacted] wh says he operates at [redacted]. The address and the seller listed on the title and retail sales report is MVP Automotive at the same address used by both entities.Desired Settlement: I would like to be reimbursed for the value of the damage and the mechanical repairs I had to make to bring it to the description the seller provided.The seller said if I paid for shipping both ways he would refund $4450. That does not include the $200 dealer documentation fee he charged nor $2,240 in shipping nor the thousand I have paid in loan fees and payment, licensing, title, repairs to have it run and be able to pass safety inspections, etc.I want a full refund or be reimbursed.
