MVP Floors- Most Valued Performers Reviews (2)

To begin the baseboard were taped when they needed to be tapedThere was nothing on there base board when I left the job, please show pictureQuarter round or new baseboards were to be installed around the entire perimeter do to the gap after removing the carpetIt was my mistake to write the
word "crack" on the invoice because I only promised to fill in the joints between the concrete slabs, the customer is a fully aware of thisThere were some cracks on the slab that showed up after the prep grind and I took care of 95% of them out of pocket, even though there were very few that still showed laterI did one more coat of metallic after the job was done because the customer didn't like the pattern and also explained I did not have enough to to do the entire floor but only for a sectionThe section now looks a bit different do to the recoatThere are little imperfection like pin wholes on the floor but that's part of it when your just using liquids to coat a floorI'm stilling willing to work with the customer and get all of this revolvedThey have a great surface to work on and all I would need to do is recoat the entire floor once more to fix all complaints

In response to MVP Floors, [redacted]1.      The baseboards have material stain throughout the basement, approximate 700 sq feet.2.      We are not stating anything about the quarter round as there is a gap because of previous carpeting.3.      There was no conversation about cracks vs. joints. When [redacted] was on premises to provide an assessment of the work, he assured us he was able to complete and had experience doing metallic epoxy floors. Our basement floor at that time was only concrete as the carpet and linoleum floor had been removed months prior. Due to settling of the foundation, there are cracks in the concrete. The statement was made that the cracks would be filled and not visible once the epoxy metallic floor was installed.  As documented, the cracks were not filled and are visible to the eye. There are several visible cracks that are long.4.      The overall aesthetics of our basement floor is unsatisfactory. The pattern, which has a large line going throughout the  floor was brought the [redacted]’s attention as being a concern was tended to with a darker color which displays are black marks/blobs over the line. The outcome of this darker stain, still makes the line predominant and in our eyes, ugly as there is no flow of markings. Throughout the floor, there is a green / gray color that appears and the color appearance was brought to [redacted]’s attention as a concern. It was not communicated to us there was no additional material. We were assured that the color would calm and blend in. We are completely unsatisfied with the look of the floor. In my earlier statement, when researching error/mistakes of metallic epoxy floor, stretching out the epoxy results in uneven look/finish. Additionally, when material is running low, scraping the last of the material from the mixing container can result in the last of the epoxy not being mixed properly and causing a distinct difference in appearance and weaker coating. Note: Information researched online from h[redacted] * Section 3 noted as stretching out the epoxy.5.      The pinholes and fish eye craters with sharp edges are not considered little imperfections as they appear throughout. The basement floor to the hand touch is rough and many area have craters that are raised from the floor and very sharp. We visited concrete showrooms, one specifically [redacted] prior to the start of services from MVP Floors, [redacted]. The metallic epoxy showroom floors, as well as samples  viewed and touched were not full of pinholes, bubbles or craters and were smooth to the touch, with some texture for safe walking.  Note: Information researched online from h[redacted]s/ - Section 4  noted as faulty mixing of the epoxy. The floor is rough and unsafe.6.      We are not satisfied with the work provided by MVP Floors, [redacted]. Our first concerns were not corrected and the floor we have today meets zero expectations or representations made by MVP Floors, [redacted].  The online research, showroom visits, as well as voice of independent concrete contractors viewing the basement floor in current state does not indicate that “recoating the entire floor once more to fix all complaints” will correct any of our concerns/issues. For one, by applying another coat, all of the cracks will still be visible. We have an issue with this. Secondly, the pinholes/craters would simply have another layer of epoxy, when the solution is the entire floor needs to stripped/sanded and the surface prepared again. The color differences and the green tint is not going to disappear with another coat applied. The overall aesthetics with the pattern, roller marks, differences in color, texture/roughness, the visible cracks, the stain on baseboards, and epoxy build up on cabinets is not the quality of metallic epoxy floor expected to receive.7.      We are not confident in the professional ability of MVP Floors, [redacted], therfore do not want to conduct any further business. The basement floor we have now is unusable in its current state for a living / play area. [redacted]
