Ms. [redacted] came to MW Auto Service accompanied by a friend, as well as ours. This friend, [redacted],referred [redacted] to MWAS since he is also a client. she explained when she drives the car and pressed down on the accelerator it felt as if it did not have gasoline. A computer was installed...

which gave a code of fuel level. I personally told her, that a fuel pump had to be installed first because the code was referencing the fuel pump. The next step would be to see if there was something else to be worked on. [redacted] was also present when [redacted] was advised Ms. [redacted] accepted, so we proceeded to order the fuel pump. She returned on 10/19/2015 to have the pump installed but the part had not yet arrived. On Monday auto part store had to reorder the fuel pump. It did arrive until 10/20/2015 around 4 pm, which was near closing the shop. [redacted] called me to ask at what time the car would be ready, I replied around 2:00 pm. he called [redacted] to let her know. due to a car accident my daughter had, I had to leave the shop. To my surprise when I returned the car was not at the shop. I asked my Nephew for the car, but he explained that [redacted] had asked for the car so he gave her the keys without my consent. My nephew is not a mechanic , instead he helps out with maintenance. I never called [redacted] to come pick up the car since it was under observation and I was not done fixing the car. She later texted me to comment on the condition of the car. I asked her to please bring the car back but she preferred to take it to another auto shop. Please note, before I removed the pump a diagnostic check was completed and it did not pass the test. Sometimes it would remain at 40 PSI and after about 20 minutes  it would go down to 25 PSI. I want it to be known that I, [redacted], never called [redacted] to pick up the vehicle. she arrived at MWAS when I was not present. She took her car to another auto shop and they found that the spark plugs had to be replaced. In other words, her car had additional problems. She also made reference of gasoline odor. What the mechanic found was evap code so they completed the smoke test. They found smoke coming from the vapor hose not gasoline. The mechanic put a clamp and resolved the problem. The fuel pump was properly installed at MWAS. I believe if [redacted] would have returned to my shop the problem could have been resolved or we could have come to an agreement.
