I’m sorry you feel I don’t comprehend your complaint but I do, I have been in the car business years and have been with Scottsdale Auto Center for yearsWe have sold over trucksIt is unfortunate that you feel “we have done you wrong ”per your statement in 2nd response“. We sell around 80% of our vehicles out of state through eBay Motors to customers looking for rust free trucksWe have 100% positive feedback as an eBay sellerWe are also rated A+ with the Revdex.com, we do our best to sell quality used trucks. You are also forgetting that we discounted the asking priceWe sold you the truck for practically the price of a new utility bed and one that was spotlessWhen you first called, we went over thatIf we bought the part, you would have someone install it. We were told by you that the Chevrolet dealership stated the truck had a bad torque converterAs we stated in our first response, we will send you the cost of the torque converter as originally agreed to

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below

Date: 08/10/2015Re: Complaint # ***We are writing in response to the above mentioned complaint. *** stated in his response that he tried to contact us after he received the truck; we however have no record of correspondence following his purchase until he sent a text message to *** on May 7thThis is days after he received the vehicleHe stated in his response that he had two issuesWe did inquire why we received such complaints after such a long period of time had passed since he received the vehicleHis response to us was that “he had not driven the truck until now”. We did find out after investigating ***’s initial communication that there was an error with ***'s original inspection*** is one of two clients that purchased a vehicle from Tennessee requiring transportBoth of our clients requested a pre-buy inspection and both were shipped with the same transporter given their proximityThe information given by *** was for the other vehicleWe believe that the information given to *** was in human error and that is why ***, offered to pay $towards the cost of his repairsWe sold the truck in question to *** for $12,This was already discounted from $13,plus a $dock fee in addition to the shipping cost of $1,from Arizona to Tennessee. We are a small licensed Arizona dealership and we do our best to represent our inventory as accurately as possibleOur main goal is customer satisfactionWe have offered to cover half of the cost of ***’s repairs even though we are not responsible for the inspection report given by ***To satisfy our customers is our main priority. Thanks, Scottsdale Auto Center

RE: Complaint # [redacted]

We am writing in response to the above referenced complaint
number with [redacted]. After we agreed on a price of the truck, we took the
truck to [redacted] for a pre-buy inspection, as we do with...

most customer who
are out of state to make them happy. At the same time we took another 06 Ford
F350 truck to [redacted] for a pre-buy inspection, with both of these customers
being from Tennessee
and both having similar phone numbers. We typically discuss and have the chance
to fix issues found on the pre-buy inspections for our customers. Both
customers were happy and we picked up both of these trucks after inspection and
shipped them both to Knoxville,
Tennessee on the same transport
truck. They were picked up April 10th/11th and were delivered 3 days later. We
had never heard anything from [redacted] until he texted me on May 7th, 20 days
after receiving the truck, stating that there was an air bag light on and that
the power steering pump needed to be replaced. After I spoke to [redacted], I figured
out that the service advisor might have made a human a mistake in reading the
wrong pre-buy inspection to [redacted], as [redacted] states. Our concern was why [redacted]
didn't contact us upon receiving this truck stating that there were any issues, like the air bag light being on.
Upon receiving [redacted]'s invoice for the repairs he made and figuring out what had
happened, the sales man [redacted], offered to pay [redacted] 1/2 of the ticket, $335, out
of his own pocket even though it was not actually [redacted]'s fault. We would gladly
send him $335 to help cover the repairs he made on his truck. We sell 20-30
trucks a month and we try to do the best we can being a small licensed Arizona independent
dealer. We hope that this will help out and make him happy.?

Please let me know if you need anything else, you can call
me or text me anytime or any day of the week, I am always available!

Thanks,

Thank you for responding Donn,       I would like to clarify some things that Donn did not comprehend in my complaint.First, that I only want the amount of reimbursement for the (repair) that made the truck in working order as it was described when sold to me.This repair cost $1300 at the Chevrolet Dealership, which is where Donn told me to go when we first spoke. Also, The problem was after driving on the highway for a short time, the truck would shift HARD in every gear. The problem was diagnosed at the dealership as a bad torque converter. I had tried so many times to call the main line and Donn's cell phone and leave many voicemails trying to work this out but when he did finally answer he just kept putting me off then would not answer my calls again. All I want is for Scottsdale auto Center to offer an agreeable reimbursement for the money I have had to spend to get this truck in business.  I would be willing to take $900 just to have this over and done with. I feel Donn and Scottsdale Auto has done me wrong and I hope no one else has to go through this kind of dilemma.

In response to the complaint by Mr [redacted].We sell between 15 to 30 used trucks per month and do the best we can to sell quality used truck with no problems. I personally drove this truck numerous times locally for parts running and dealership errands with no shifting problems with the transmission. Mr...

[redacted] did call me about a week after he received the truck and stated he had a down shifting problem with the transmission. He said it drove down the highway fine but when he slowed down it down shifted hard. I told him to have it diagnosed. He had it diagnosed and was told the truck needed a torque converter. He got a price and and we did as well, the price on the torque converter was around $350. We let Mr [redacted] know that we could send him the torque converter and not cash since we were unable to inspect the truck ourselves now that the truck was out of state..The next thing we hear is that he wants us to send him $1300 for a transmission rebuild. We just don't send out money when someone says that we owe them. We were prepared to send the customer the torque converter in good faith, not rebuild the transmission. The only thing we can do to resolve this is to send Mr [redacted] the original price of the torque converter since the customer decided to do additional repairs. The amount of $350, customer covers labor as we previously had agreed on when the issue was first brought to our attention. Thank you, Donn M[redacted]
