MWJ Heating and Cooling installed a carrier HVAC system in January and gave a 10-year warranty on parts and laboron 03Jan2018, our furnace stopped workingI called MWJ times using the number listed on their website throughout the day and sent an email through their websiteI received no response
The outside temperature was about zero and the house was getting cold very quicklyI could conduct a troubleshooting using the manual and the furnace reignited, which lasted until the morning of January 5thon 05JanI again made many calls to two different phone numbers; the website number and a number I had kept from the installation, which had a recording identifying the number as MWJ Heating and Cooling
No response, so I called a local HVAC contractor to diagnose the problem*** Heating and Cooling had a great reputation with people I trusted and they responded immediatelyIt was determined that my heating exchanger had gone bad because of improper installatio

Do not hire this business for any reason We purchased an AC from them and have had nothing but troubles with it over the past years They do NOT honor their warranty and guarantee in their contract The contract clearly states that they have a year parts and labor warranty from the date of installation Our AC had a leak and needed to be recharged but Mark at MWJ Heating would not return our calls or answer our emails at all After trying for over weeks we had to hire a new HVAC company to service our AC We are very disappointed and would not recommend Mark *** and MWJ Heating and Cooling to anyone

The furnace comes with a standard year warranty, if the customer registered it, it will have a year warrantythere fore he would have called a Carrier dealer, They would have moved forward with the warranty processMinnesota law says we have to give a one year warrantyAlso for this furnace to be in warranty the customer would need his service records that it was checked annually. I am rejecting this response because: The issue is that I was ignored when the furnace they installed was failingHe offered zero support in a very important time for something he was legally responsible forI expected advise and support and was forced into a very high priced solution as a result of his bad business practices

We are sorry this happened, we are no longer Carrier dealers, this is exactly one reason we are not, Carrier has settled on a class action lawsuit about this, they are fully responsible. furnace could not have been checked annually for safety. Contact a authorised Carrier dealer and the furnace is totally under warranty.
