We had CARPET installed, CERAMIC TILE installed, WOOD FLOORING installed and kitchen BACKSPLASH installed by My Affordable Floors and absolutely love everything that was done There was a problem with the original wood floor that was installed (bamboo) and the owner, Kim, was out promptly to address the problem and get it corrected to our satisfaction (and his) We couldn't have asked for better people to work with and would HIGHLY RECOMMEND them to anyoneIt's obvious that Kim takes great pride in his business and his reputation, which totally benefits his customers
Dan was knowledgeable about his flooring materialsHe made good suggestions for each part of my projectThe installers paid attention to detail and were helpful when I couldn't make up my mind about stain colorI love my new vinyl, carpet, and hardwood floors

Floors turned out great, however another issue arose and when the owner was contacted to rectify the issue, the communication and treatment was disgusting. I have never been treated so poorly by the owner of a company. He was childish and rude. We had some damage to our property which he claims his staff did not do. He asked for proof (photos and word from our home inspector) that things were in sound shape prior to their visit, so we gave it and when he didn't like the answer he heard, he accused us of manipulating our inspectors word to suit our needs. We called immediately after seeing the damage and it took them over a week to come and see it and when they finally did come, they did while we were out of town, and knew we were going to be out of town.
We finally gave up realizing an apology was never going to come. After that, we simply stated that his "staff should take more caution when at client's homes" and he laughed at us. When I said that I would be writing a review on my experience on how he spoke to us- because as the owner of a company myself I would NEVER treat anyone who came to my business this way- he bribed me by saying he would give me a free floor cleaning kit if I gave him 4 of out 5 stars. An apology never came out of his mouth for the damage, the lack of rectifying the issue for the damage or his treatment of human beings, let alone customers. I wrote everything via email and he continued to call me over and over, refusing to hold anything in writing on his end.
I'm not surprised now to see they are not Revdex.com accredited and should have checked this prior to hiring them. Lesson learned on my end.
Also, I was amazed at the lack of complaints on Angie's List where they were referred. He told us they "actively pursue" negative reviews to have them removed and threatened to sue me for slander for my negative review. It is only slander if it isn't true through and thankfully, all of this is fact. I would not recommend this company to anyone.
We had the oak floors of our 1931 bungalow refinished by My Affordable Floors. The workmanship was excellent and all of the work was done on time and on budget. We highly recommend My Affordable Floors.
