My Exotic Cats

The client, ***, did purchase a seal (spotted) lynx point Bengal male from me on 4/17/20. I did agree to meet her half way for the exchange due to the distance. Before the meeting day we had discussed exchanging funds online vs. cash due to covid-19 precautions. When I arrived, I did inform the client that my husband had dropped our printer and broken it. I did tell her I would send a copy of the kitten contract via email. I had not purchased a new printer and had been doing most exchanges electronically since the new covid-19 precautions were put into place. I did however immediately send a screen shot via text of her final payment to serve as receipt of payment even before leaving the parking lot. While, I understand *** concern when I did not respond immediately, the first paragraph in my kitten contract publicly posted online states as follows: This agreement between the owner of My Exotic Cats, Christine R (Seller) and_________________________________, (Buyer/Purchaser). By giving Christine R form ofpayment for purchase of cat/kitten(s) Buyer has accepted terms of the MY EXOTIC CATS contract. Allkitten/cat sales through MY EXOTIC CATS are covered by the terms of kitten/cat contract of saleregardless of signature(s). Agreement may be verbal, electronic or written. It is the Buyer's responsibilityto review terms of contract.

Once I receive payment, the publicly posted contract is binding. This means even if all documents are signed or not signed, if the client loses his/her contract, I will still honor it. It also means that the buyer must also honor his or her responsibilities as well, one of those being reading and reviewing the contract on our website.The good news is that *** has a healthy kitten and a valid kitten contract. On 06/11/2020 she reached out to me to let me know her vet DID NOT hear a heart murmur anymore. Kittens can sometimes have what is called an innocent heart murmur as a tiny hole in the heart, all mammals are born with, closes.*** did apologize to me for her strong reaction but helped me understand it by explaining she had a Siamese kitten that she lost to HCM, and when she heard the words “heart murmur” she began reliving the loss of her former cat. When I didn’t respond right away, she became afraid and reacted. I completely understand her fear as I have lost some of my best furry friends in this life, and I wouldn’t wish that heartache on anyone.

*** has since sent several photos of her kitten and a kitten from another breeder that is also out of my bloodline. These two kitties are best friends. I have truly enjoyed her communication and I understand being afraid. I understand having a knee-jerk reaction; we are all guilty of letting fear get the best of us at some point. To her credit I did take a longer time than I normally do to respond but I too am human and was dealing with some challenging health news in relationship to my parents. I was able to confide these details in ***. I am very proud of the work I do with Bengals and Savannahs, and I am grateful for the relationships I build with each person and family. It is my hopes that Ms. Noeyak and I will be friends far into the future.
