I had made comment little while ago which was happy the St. Augustine, Fl's MyEyeDr staff are able to communicate with me in Sign Language this is positive experience...
My new glasses were giving me terrible headache and pain in my one eye... I'm blind in one eye and slightly blind in my good eye... I was in and out of MyEyeDr to have glasses adjust and still terrible headache and pain in the eye... I went to Medical Eye Doctor and his staff had checked on my vision, eye and glasses... Learning that the glasses were off balanced that caused headache and pain... The staff had adjusted the new glasses at the same time Doctor tried one test as I had mention to the MyEyeDr and she just referral me to Medical Eye Doctor was best referral... Now I'm waiting for MyEyeDr contact me to have new Len on my bad eye as realized that I see better when it covered... I'm still having pain in the eye and hopefully they would contact me immediately soon...

I like to make recommendation that for those staff whom are to adjust the glasses shall have more depth training how to adjust the frame of glasses correctly and not rushing thru as many mistaken of bad adjusting... The medical Doctor had staff there whom adjust my new frame which helpful at this present till MyEyeDr contact me to enroll their office to have new Len on the bad eye frame...

Thank you and best luck to your staff for further training on adjusting the new glasses frame... MJ Bouchard

Dear [redacted]:This letter is in response to the above referenced Case # involving [redacted] on behalf of customer [redacted] and her complaint regarding our Germantown, MD office on [redacted].In reviewing [redacted]’ invoice, it appears that we initially assessed a cost of...

$110.00 for the eyeglasses. Upon receiving a call, our associates modified the order to remove the anti-reflective coating and adjusted the credit card transaction from $110.00 to $65.00; I have included this documentation in the delivery of this response. We received a call from [redacted] on December 7 regarding the incorrect cost we assessed. Even though our records indicated that we had adjusted the transaction accurately on October 10, we agreed to facilitate a refund of $45,00 to a [redacted] credit card on December 7.

Review: I went to a preschedule appointment at the My Eye Doctor in [redacted] MD. When I arrived for the appointment, I was asked to complete new paperwork since I had updated insurance information. At no [redacted]e during my registration or wait to be seen was I informed that my insurance was out of network. I was charged $240 dollars for an eye exam for the two of us and a contact exam for my daughter. I saw three different attendees and none of them informed me that my insurance did not cover the contact exam nor was it in network coverage. If they had told me that before hand I never would have attended the appointment. Still in disbelief, I contacted the store on Monday morning to inquire as to why my insurance plan didn't cover more of the bill and immediately put into contact with [redacted], the store manager. I asked him if it was normal business practices not inform people that their insurance paid out of network only. He said that they always inform the customers and he was sorry that they did not inform me. I told him that I spoke with three different employees ([redacted] was the last one) and none of them told me that my insurance provide was out of network. He apologized again but an apology was not enough!! I feel they manipulated me and used unfair business practices to unfairly charged me for services that I would not have accepted if I had been informed upfront. [redacted] offered to refund me $70 dollars but that is a far cry from $240. I would advise all to stay away from this establishment!!!Desired Settlement: I feel that a fair resolution is a complete refund of my money. I would have never went to them for service if I had known they were not an in network provider. I strongly feel that they knew this as well and that is why it was never mentioned to me until checkout, after the services had been rendered.

Review: I purchased Eye glasses from My Eye Dr on Jan 18. After I received the glasses and tried on the more expensive pair, I found it to be much too big for my face.

Granted, I should have noticed this before I purchased it; but I didn't. However I think the sales person must have/should have noticed this and said something. My suspicion is that she was only interested in making a sale. I returned the Glasses on 1/26/2013, and the office manager processed a refund of $239.00, which he said I would receive in the mail.

As of today (3/23/2013) I have not received this refund. I called the office 2 weeks ago and was told it was mailed out and got lost in the mail. I sent an email to the My Eye Dr Customer service website on 3/20/2013, explaining the situation and provided a scanned copy of the refund notice. In the email response I was told that the office manager did not provide sufficient information for the check to be processed, so I would see it by around 3/22/2013. I am annoyed because they don't seem to care about addressing this refund issue with the urgency that it deserves, considering its been about 2 months now. I don't believe it would take too long to receive the check if they had put it in the mail; which suggest they did not.Desired Settlement: They should put more effort into customer satisfaction. Provide honest, professional advice to the customer, when necessary.

Review: on 2/1/13 I went to the my eye dr in [redacted] to order a pair of prescription glasses. I was told that it would 2 weeks to get my glasses back. I got a call 15 days later saying my glasses were in and I could pick them up. when I went to get my glasses, the glasses were incorrect in that I could not read with them. print was out of focus. I was told that my glasses would be sent back to the factory and that a "rush" was going to be put on the order. I had to wait an additional 18 days before I got another call that they were in.Desired Settlement: a 50% credit on my purchase of $1041.00
