Complaint: ***I am rejecting this response because: The response given by the business owner is full of lies/inaccuraciesHis crew chief (***) demanded payment after the 2nd day of work, when it was not completed, as we were leaving the house to go to my sons college graduationThe walk-around that I did took less than minutes and I told him at that time that I gave him the check with many reservations, as well as the caveat that I could require his return to finish any unfinished work*** did return on occasions to finish those other things, but the cleanup of overspray and spilled paint was on the very first return dateAs to the downspout being painted, it was originally white plasticDuring the initial painting job and without consulting me or my wife, they painted it blue. I asked *** to repaint it white while he was at the house cleaning up the paint drips. The 2nd return was to finish scraping and painting the window sills, which was supposed to have been done at the time of the original job and was not done at that timeThe 3rd return was to touch up areas in the back of the house that were not painted because a ladder wasn’t moved during the original paint jobThe only way that you can say they came to my house times is by counting the times *** and then *** & *** came to my house to examine the front of my house where the painting is incompleteOn both occasion, the employees of My Father’s House Painting agreed that the work needed to be done and promised that they would be back within a reasonable amount of time to complete it. At no time has *** ever returned one of my many calls. I will admit that I have left nasty messages on their voicemail, but have never cursed at his wife (THIS IS A COMPLETE LIE ON HIS PART.) Every time I have called on other peoples phones and actually spoken with her, I have been unfailingly polite, but stern about my disappointment with the service I have received. I have never been belligerent with any of his employees in a face-to-face situation. I would simply like for My Father’s House Painting to live up to their wordI have more pictures of the areas in question but am unable to load more than pictures on your system. There are areas of inadequate painting across the entire front of the house. In addition, there are multiple areas where the caulking was done sloppily or globbed on or applied in such a thin layer that it has already cracked and open to the elements. The finish painting, the lines between the body and the trim, are for the most part not straight still and require touch up. My wife touched up the framework around the garage doors where they had caulked over finished paint. On the front porch, the ceiling area has been painted once with one coat, but needs a second coat because looks splotchy, like water ***s have bled through. Three different employees (***, ***, and ***) of My Fathers House Painting all agreed that these concerns needed to be addressed and that they would come out within a week to complete the needed work. *** and *** work together and were the last ones to come look at our house. They agreed that the original work, painting and caulking, was done in a sloppy manner and that they would fix it all. They also said that they frequently have to go behind the first crew and clean up their messes. All three of these employees said on separate occasions that *** *** will not return calls or come back to your house to look at our concerns Here is a copy of the bid/contract that My Father's House Painting gave us on March 15th. Multiple alterations were made, such as the change from Duration paint to Emerald paint and the removal of working on the deck. Regards,*** ***

esponse to Ms***: this contract was based on money allotted by her pest control companyWe went over and beyond for this cllient, and did much of the work for free as there was only a certain amount of money to work withShe signed off on all of the work and there was no problemWe later
found out that she had done this to another company as wellThe comments regarding our credit union are completely unfounded and untrueThis speaks to her characterOur crew also stated that her husband was seen tampering with their workWe strive for excellence and character and, unfortunately, not everyone else doesThe pest control company said she did this to them, as well

Number one: we never rush our customers to do a walk aroundWe don't collect the money until they are happy and we never DEMAND payment.That is not how we operate and we have been working in Lee's Summit for twenty yearsOur contractor did a walk around with Mr*** and he was happy with the
results and at no time did our contractor demand any paymentWe only ask for the final payment after the customer is satisfiedHe did find some touch ups that needed to be taken care of and we sent our contractor out there to take care of themMr*** tried to say that we got over spray on his brick chimney which was clearly not our color or our paintIt was done from a previous job ( we tape off for a reason)After that was pointed out to him he changed his tuneNow the drips that fell on his back patio that were our paint we cleaned right off, heck we even cleaned the old paint off of his chimneyOur contractor took care of what was needed to be done and he again....was happyThen he called about a window, so we again went out and took care of itThen he called a couple more times about other things ( his downspout wanting painted, so we took care of it)Our contractor was sent back to his house not 2-times but different times he was sent out there to take care of Mr***After everything that we did to try and take care of his concerns, he then decides to start cursing and leaving horrible messagesHe was cursing at my wife, which brought her to tearsI am sorry that his experience was bad, but when you start threatening and leaving nasty messages, that is when we draw the lineWe have not been in business for almost twenty years by being a company that does not take care of their customers, but we can only be pushed to far to the point where we would not feel right sending contractors into a situation where the customer would be belligerent to them

I am rejecting this response because:This business owner continues to take no ownership of shoddy workmanship, poor communication, being inappropriate with comments to me in front of witnesses to include his contractors Instead of explaining his position now, he slanders my character and lies about me He now states in his response that I have had problems with the pest control company This is not the case as they're still doing my pest control work and we have had absolutely positive communications through the duration The manager has been out to my house to see the condition of the walls before ***'s "repairs" were completed *** states that there was a limited amount of money to work from which again, was not the case Money was allowed and paid for the work in accordance with the estimate and contract amount Instead of taking any responsibility for his work or customer satisfaction, he states lies about my character and marital status This is completely unprofessional and speaks to his poor level of work ethic and integrity His contractors apologized to me profusely on his behalf stating that he was out of line I don't want other single women to be taken advantage of as I have been by this company His credit union employees shared that he has a history of having customers complain about his excuses and lack of follow through as wellI have witnesses from every phone call that I had with the man after the job had started All are surprised by his demeanor and level of unprofessional behavior One year later, there are marks in every room of the house where errors were made as well as portions that never were painted It appears to others that the work was done by children using dirty paint brushes and rollers (which *** admitted to upon review), not professional painters This was a terrible experienceI still have to pay someone to complete the work that he never finished I still have to look at the poor painting job I've been asked for painting referrals this year three times and each time, I've responded that My Father's House Painting is to be avoided! Literally, I can take at least pictures of errors in every room of my house indicating the shoddy workmanship
