Review: I booked a bounce house from My Fun Jump with [redacted] for my sons 5th birthday party. I received acknowledgment via an email 2 weeks prior to my event. I received an email just a few days prior to the party explaining that I would receive a phone call the night before confirming the set up time. I did not receive the call until 10am the day of the event. [redacted] said he wanted to discuss the weather and to call him back. It had rained all day the friday before but, it was SUNNY ALL DAY on the day of the event. I called [redacted] back multiple times and he did not take my calls. I emailed [redacted] and received no response. I emailed [redacted] and received no response. I had over 20 very disappointed kids and 1 very unhappy birthday boy. Had [redacted] or [redacted] contacted me to let me know they did not intend to follow through with the contract, I would have been able to replace them with a more reputable company. As it stood, the focal point of the party never showed up. Nor did I receive as much as an apology or explanation, just a NO SHOW!Desired Settlement: I would like to receive an explanation as to why the contract was not fulfilled and why I was not contacted and given the opportunity to replace them with Spacewalk or more reputable company. [redacted] asked me to pay cash on the day of the event, which I agreed to do. So, I am not out of pocket monetarily. However, you cannot put a price tag on the value of your sons only 5th birthday party.

Response:

Mr. [redacted] called us trying to reserve a bounce house for Sat June 08. It was explained to him that our business was closed to reservations for that day because of a annual family function. Mr. [redacted] asked if it was possible to have one delivered for that day. It was explained to him that the bounce would have to be delivered as early as 10am and kept there overnight due to this family function and only if weather permitted. Mr. [redacted] AGREED to those terms and he was allowed to reserve a bounce. A call was placed to Mr. [redacted] at 9:45 am (with a message left on his voicemail) on 6/08 and again at 10:30. The weather at that time called for possible scattered showers in the afternoon; evening and night. It was also going for winds at 20 - 25 mph. Both of these factors; by themselves; would have called for the cancellation of the delivery. I wanted to speak to Mr. [redacted] about these weather expectations. I had not heard back from Mr. [redacted] and left for the family function at 11:30. There was no access to my cell phone and/or email during the course of this family function that went from noon until 9pm. Mr. [redacted] did call numerous times and through numerous #'s with his first call coming at 12:20pm. 2 emails were also sent at 2:25pm. None of these calls or emails were received or viewed until after 9pm. But even if they were; a delivery would not have been made at that time.

We always strive to give the best service that we can. We know how disappointing something like this can be when it happens. The outcome may have been different if we had access to some of the phone #'s that were used to call us that afternoon. The only number that was provided to us was from a 619 Area Code (San Diego).

Mr. [redacted] may have forgotten that the bounce needed to be delivered in the early morning. The weather did turn out on the positive side but wasn't forecasted as such during the morning hours. It was imperative that contact be made in the morning. Attempts were made on our end.

Mr. [redacted] was never asked to pay cash on the day of delivery. He was told that we no longer require a deposit to hold a reservation and that we except cash, checks and credit cards as payment when the bounce is delivered. Mr. [redacted] offered to pay cash.

As far as not returning any of his calls; as previously stated; these were not seen until after 9pm and after listening to some of the messages (some rude); I didn't feel a return call was warranted.

Again; we feel bad that his son did not enjoy the benefits of our bounce house but we do believe that Mr. [redacted] should take some of the responsibility for this mishap.
