Review: on 10/*/2014 I brought my vehicle a 2007 gl450 mercedes truck to the above mentioned mechanics shop to get a vehicle inspection... When I brought the truck to them I told them before hand there is a pending code on my vehicle for a flap switch valve in which its been on my vehicle since I purchased it but no check engine light was ever on my vehicle so it will pass an inspection... I leave my vehicle there and I go to work... They call me and tell me it wont pass unless I change the the flap switch valve as well as 2 oxygen sensors... Mind you I just checked my vehicle the night before and no oxygen sensors ever came up on the scanner... I asked how much it would be and they said $939.85... I said I cant pay that right now... Ill get it done over the weekend... I go to pick up my truck and they charged me $87.10 for a diagnostics fee... In which I pay in good faith. Something just didn't sit right with me so I took it to another shop not to far from them the next morning and guess what... No oxygen sensors came up on there scanner just the flap switch valve and my truck passed inspection with no problem... Now why should I have to pay for a diagnostics fee when they didnt diagnostic it correctly??? Or was they just trying to get me to pay the $939.85??? Whichever way you look at it thats not the way you run a business... I went back today and they offered me $40.00 on my next repair there. I don't want anything to do with them... All I want is to be reimbursed for my $87.10 for a wrong diagnostics fee... Any help in this dilemna would be greatly appreciatedthanks in advance [redacted] desired settlement: all I want is to be reimbursed for the wrong diagnostics fee

response:
if the customer felt we did something wrong, then he can come in and we will give him a refund. We are a well known mechanic shop in this area and we would never do anything wrong to a customer or tell a customer he needs something, he really doesn't need. If this will resolve the matter, then he is welcome to come back and get a refund for the diagnostics.
