Dear Mr [redacted] , Our firm did in fact receive the initial documentation from you at the end of and your claim was initiatedThere is a process that goes on in order to file the claimWe have to initially submit your Agreement to the State of Ohio for approval in order to obtain an actual claim form to file the claim? Such approval typically takes few weeks after submission however; due to the State’s backlogged and lack of personnel (as we were informed by the State in many occasions) your claim form was not released to us until May of We did send out notifications explaining the delay as this unfortunate situation has affected many of our clientsWe’ve attempted every effort to expedite the claims, but unfortunately we have no control over the situation the State of Ohio is currently facingOur firm does not collect any fees unless our clients receive their funds so we are as eager as you are to get them to release the claimsWe are monitoring all claims and will contact you once we receive any updatesPlease accept our apologies as this situation is beyond our control

Our firm mailed out a notification to *** *** offering our assistance in the recovery of a claim that is available for her to collect since There are requirements in order to verify ownership and retrieve unclaimed property accounts, the claimant will need to submit copies of
Identification in order to confirm identity before the funds are releasedWe serve as intermediary between the holder and the claimant and therefore are required to ask for these items in order to file the claimWe are fully licensed and regulated by the proper authorities and have filed these types of claims since If *** *** wants to file her claim but doesn't want to submit the verification requested, all she needed to do was ask for alternatives and she would have given the option to send her information directly to the holderThis option is not usually offered in general, as it will take longer to process the claimsAs requested by her on 8/12/2016, her information has been removed from our mailing list however the claim is still available to collect by her or her heirs

I am rejecting this response because:
I fail to see how your fee cannot be negotiated without the claim being processedThe claim being paid out and adjusting your percentage fee before that takes place are not reliant on each other. Waiting more than ten calendar days for action to taken will result in this complaint being closed, with absolutely no resolution other than I can call your company directly in the future, which is not acceptable to me

Our internal process is not explained to
you because it doesn't require any action from you, that is a process that is
handle between our firm and the State of OhioAlso, our fees cannot be
negotiated since the claim hasn't even been paidYou may contact our firm
directly regarding that issue once your check is receivedI regret to hear
that you are not content with our service but unfortunately we cannot take
responsibility for something that is out of our control.
