My PC Clinic

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.

I am not satisfied with this response because PC Clinic states that I have the hard drive in my computer which I do not. I have several emails to PC Clinic explaining to them that my Hard drive is NOT in my new computer as they continue to state. I am not willing to turn my computer over to them again as they are not efficient and I cannot be without my computer. We are literally in the same complex as them and they can come and check my PC themselves. I am not paying the bill from them as they left our system a mess and we had to call another company in and pay them to complete the tasks PC Clinic should have and finish configuring our system. They did not have a hard time and they worked just fine with the PC that I purchased.

At this point in time, we have few options. There has been no real willingness on the part of [redacted] and [redacted] to resolve this. Nor has there been any indication of what course of action would resolve this issue.  We have done a complete inventory of all our drives, we do not have the drive in question. Our notes state that it was left in the machine. Because of the possible loss of data, we created a clone of the drive on our servers as a backup. We had thought this was destroyed after the machine was returned to [redacted] and [redacted]. It was discovered during our inventory
 
The files she has indicated are missing comprise less than 10mb and fewer than 60 files. Compared to the thousands we recovered from a damaged drive, this is a miniscule possible loss. Again we are very clear with the possible loss of data and that recovery is never a 100% surety. No IT company makes that sort of guarantee. Data backup is always the responsibility of the user. We did not provide that service to [redacted] and [redacted].
 
At this point, we would be more than glad to burn the files to a dvd for [redacted], as soon as full payment of outstanding invoice is received.  We feel that this whole matter has been blown out of proportion and slanderous. The amount of hours that we spent to recover her data, explain the issues she might face, and  configure the new machine and the greatly discounted pricing we extended has been for naught. Our simple requests to produce the computer so we could recover the files from the drive our notes indicate is inside her new PC.
 
Any services, She feels we did not provide would have been additional billable hours and are not represented in our outstanding invoices. Her unwillingness to meet our simple requests and her slanderous misrepresentation of the matter are unacceptable. As such we are not willing to further discount or  forgive any amount of our invoice. If full payment is provided we will produce a DVD of her missing data. If the invoices age to 100 days past due, we will send this matter to collections.
 
Again to summarize:
1)      The full amount of inv #[redacted] ($237.50) is due immediately
2)      At 100 days past due, the invoice will be sent to collections, additional fees and costs will be added to the invoice
3)      We are willing to wave the past due fees, if payment is made before the 100th day
4)      When the invoice is paid and this complaint is closed,  we will create a DVD of the less than 60 files.
5)      Any other misrepresentations made of our service will be met with serious recourse.
