Hello, I do apologize for the inconveniences you have encountered dealing with ExpediaAs you mentioned, there was an error on our part and we quickly refunded the amount that was overcharged on your credit cardAs for the $that includes Room and Tax for the night of May 12th, we did explain that the reservation was guaranteed with the guest credit card just like any other reservation and just like any other reservation that isn’t cancelled at least hours prior to arrival, we do have to check the reservation in and charge for the roomEspecially since we were sold out that night and turned away over other guests that would have paid for the room, it is our policy that the No Show Charge remainsI do believe your issue has to do more with Expedia as you stated that they had a malfunction which lead to this problemWe didn’t have the reservation cancelled on our end and Expedia didn’t have the reservation cancelled on their end and with the malfunction that occurred on Expedia’s website I feel that Expedia is the party responsible and that they should be responsible for refunding your moneyThank you, My Place Hotel

explain that the reservation was guaranteed with the guest credit card just like any other reservation and just like any other reservation that isn’t cancelled at least 24 hours prior to arrival, we do have to check the reservation in and charge for the room. Especially since we were sold out that night and turned away over 20 other guests that would have paid for the room, it is our policy that the No Show Charge remains.
