Please update my complaint response as follows...."I would like to first respond by notingif you feel as though you have been 'scammed' I would encourage you to contact local law enforcement - and not the Revdex.com However, I don't believe anyone was scammed - so I will use this platform to respond appropriately My company (Rainbow Roofing) completed a roof replacement project on the entire dwelling ( [redacted] ) for Ms [redacted] in the fall of The contracted price for the entire job (whole house) was $4,(the area in question equates to apx 1/12th of the entire dwelling (15xor 90sq ft, the entire job was about 1100sq' +/-) After discussing several options for 'low slope' roof assemblies - Ms [redacted] opted for Rolled Roofing (which according to the [redacted] - is an approved roof covering - rubber is superior, yet more expensive and we are obligated to work within her budget) It appears that Ms [redacted] (in hindsight) has decided to replace with better material Again, please note - for 1/12th the size of the roof area in question, Ms [redacted] has paid almost 1/the contract price (whole roof $4,to flat roof only $2,200.00) Contrary to what Ms [redacted] is stating - we were never asked to coordinate with the plumber for any penetrations through the roof We were contacted by Ms [redacted] well after installation was complete to state that there was a leak We (as she has noted) have responded several times Each time we had responded - we noted that the roof wasn't leaking in a rain event, but would leak during a snow event as the complaint notes As we have noted (numerous times before) - the issue of the leak is directly related to the pipe and how it penetrates the roof Rainbow Roofing did not complete this flashing detail - it was done at another time by another contractor (who we do not know) Furthermore the pipe is not installed to code MA State Building Code (780;CMR) states that all pipes vented through a roof should be at a height of 18" or more as not to be blocked by snow (Please see attached photo) Because this pipe is not properly flashed and is not to proper code height - it will therefore continue to leak In closing - we had responded appropriately and completely with regards to the issue at hand We stand by our original response that 'it was/is the pipe...' Unfortunately, our work has now been removed (without inspection from any governing authority ie, Building Inspector - who we suggested several times to bring onsite) At this point, I don't know if there is any thing more we can add to the solution
