Review: I gave [redacted] my taxes for 2011,2012 and 2013 because I owed some taxes. She told us that she would review them in order to help us pay less. I gave her my documents the the 3rd week in March 2015. I sent her an email 4/22/2015 just to find out how it was going. I got an email telling me she was away and would respond the first week in May 2015. I email and she told me she had family issues in a email. The deadline was getting closer so I have email,text and called her asking for her just to mail me my documents back if she was to busy. I understand family. It has been over a month and still have not received any of my documents. I called the IRS,& franchise tax board to ask if any paperwork had been filed in my case and the both said no. I now have interest and penalties added to my taxes situation because we did not meet the deadline. I am still calling and emailing and she has not responded. I don't understand why she just can't mail me my papers.Desired Settlement: I just want my documents back. I need my documents in order to try and get help from a responsible,reliable company.

My clients were advised at the time that they provided their documents that the amended returns would be done after the current year tax season was over and the projected timeline was May. I had 2 unexpected family emergencies right at the very end of April which required both of my parents to be in the hospital in emergency surgery. I put out an updated voicemail greeting and email response to let clients know that I was away unexpectedly and that I would be away for at least a couple of weeks to attend these matters. The very first moment I returned to my office I received my voicemails and emails, none of which were for any customer service matters as they were mostly telemarketing calls and the like since I had completed all of my work to all of my clients' satisfaction prior to leaving the office. The only exception was in regards to my clients Judith and Christian to whom I IMMEDIATLEY responded as they requested and overnighted their documents to them as well as thanking them for their patience and apologizing for the delay due to the extenuating circumstances. I am rejecting this response because: I feel she could have done a better job communicating. We had a extreme time sensitive papers and because of the delay we have penalties. I also took a day off work because I went to her office in Tracy because I was getting worried. I thought that she just up and left with my documents. The receptionist told me she would sometimes see her coming in after hours. All I wanted was my documents to find help somewhere else. I am glad that I have my documents now but I don't feel it should have took over a month to get them back. I know family issue are important, but I have a family too.
