My Tax Lady Reviews (3)

Review: I hired My Tax lady ([redacted]) to prepare and file my divorce papers. I paid him for his services and for the divorce fee to witch he did my paperwork completely WRONG and then made me feel like I needed to sign off on it. He was never available, would not return my calls or texts. Constantly lied about where the status of my divorce was. His place of business reeked of cat pee and he was constantly talking about how he owed money for taxes on money he won and that he went on a drug binge, bought a new car, etc. all mean while he was supposed to be taking care of my paperwork and I'm sure others as well. He lost my paperwork and had to dig in a pile on the floor in what looked like a pile of garbage, my paperwork was in someone else's file! I ask him for my money back seeing because he really hadn't done anything at all for the money I paid him, then when I told him it needs to get finished up he wanted MORE money! I would like to get my money back for services seeing he didn't DO anything! His forms were from the like the 90's and he was CLEARLY on drugs half way into all of this. Hope no one else uses him and hopefully he chooses to pay me back seeing he Is CLEARLY a crook!Desired Settlement: $400 was paid to him for his services!

Response:

Each allegation will be addressed. Mrs. [redacted] explanation is ambiguous/Obscure(All over the place).

Review: I went to this person for my 2013 income tax service. He gave excuses for almost 2 weeks why my tax was not getting done. Finally on The day I picked up my tax documents, I was mistreated, insulted and he acted totally unprofessional. He said he did not like my attitude when all I did was patiently wait for him to finish. He even slammed the door as I was leaving. After all that, the tax documents he prepared had incorrect information which made it invalid and it was not submitted for tax filing. I paid $250.00 for this worthless service.Desired Settlement: I just want a refund of $250.00 service fee I paid him.

Response:

This party did in fact come to my office for tax preparation.

I asked for him to provide a copy of the previous year(2012). The client provided 2 years of previous returns, Prepared but, not signed.

I asked whom prepared these 2 years. Mr. [redacted] would not disclose this information.

The 2 years of previous returns were done by a NON certified, Non bonded, Non recognized individual that used Turbotax Freefile.

These 2 previous returns are fraudulent.

Entries made had no supporting documentation. These previous tax returns were so obviously illegal, Erroneous I had to explain the $5,000.00 penalty for each return this party prepared and the penalty Mr. [redacted] could face for intentionally evading his tax obligation through deceptive means.

Tax evasion.

I explained I would not be able to get him the erroneous deductions he claimed on previous returns.

I respect the privacy of my clients. I could not believe he got away with what he did for as long as he had.

There is no professional tax preparer on 2011,2012 tax returns. No valid deductions claimed. Review Mr. [redacted]'s returns for these years I stated.

Mr. [redacted] has not seen a professional return, nor, has he dealt with a professional for tax preparation until he met me. He doesn't know what one looks like.

Mr. [redacted] is lucky I prepared his taxes at all. I would not prepare them as he demanded. I prepared them by law. This I stated at our first meeting.

If he was offended, He should have kept that to himself. Since he has broken the fiduciary responsibility of our business transaction, Mr. [redacted] has given Good Cause to report him to The Internal Revenue Service.

I owe him nothing.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because: The tax documents he prepared for me has errors. Some of the personal info was incorrectly entered by him. Again, there are errors in the documents which prevented me from filing to IRS. Who did my tax from previous years has nothing to do with errors found on the papers he prepared for me. The service he provided was not used and I am left with unusable, worthless papers.

Bottom line is, he gave me papers which I could not submit because of errors caused by him and no one else. I want my refund.

Response:

Again; As stated in my first response, This party is not qualified to audit. If there were misspellings in a name, This happens. This is corrected at the time of e-filing.

This is not a matter for The Revdex.com.

This is a matter for The Internal Revenue Service. I will contact them on Monday April 21st. 2014.

I am certain the Taxpayer has contacted the federal government on this issue.

In cases like this, The client(Taxpayer) will produce documents NOT previously submitted to my office. They forgot to bring it.

Upon finding this non submitted material, It will be used as a point of fact.

I take copies of all documents submitted. If he brought it, I got it. I do each return with the idea, there could be an audit and most clients lose their stuff.

I am happy Mr. [redacted] did not send in the taxes I prepared.

Mr. [redacted] did not ask me for his money back. At one point, I asked; (After the taxes were completed)You sure you want to send these in?

The Taxes I prepared were so different from his previous years.

I explained; By sending these in, You are sending up a red flag to check your taxes over.

He assured me he was OK with it before he left my office. The fact he owed The IRS and Ca. State is the reason for this complaint.

I will not do an illegal tax return.

Response:

I am rejecting this response because:

What I have are documents with typo errors prepared and committed by him.

A name was incorrectly spelled on all the papers which is why it was not submitted or used whatsoever.

The service he provided was good for nothing.

I have invalid papers because of typo errors committed by him, therefore I want a refund.

Response:

Proper procedure; This person just wants their money back. If he looked at the return when he picked it up, If there was a name error(Which would not affect the filing anyway), That could have been corrected. Easily. Could have done it himself.

I gave him the option to go elsewhere at our first meeting.

I told him it was not going to be the same as he has done before. I told him I could not do what the person did that prepared a fraudulent return.

The calculations are correct. The information is correct. If there is a error in spelling, again, That could have been easily corrected.

The taxpayer didn't like the honest return. It was not the same as the bogus returns he has filed in the past.

The taxpayer has been ripping off the IRS for years. By not using any of the false deductions he claimed before, He owed.

He had nothing to verify any of the previous deductions. Mr. [redacted] is one of the main reasons The IRS has raised taxes. To offset the 20 Billion in erroneous/Fraudulent refunds scammed from The American taxpayer every year.

The person that did the fraudulent returns did not sign them. Had no responsibility. Charged $450.00. $200.00 more than a licensed professional.

This scam was perpetuated by IRS Free File. It is a growing concern by The Federal government due to the amount of fraudulent returns being filed.

In 2013 The IRS did not begin processing returns until the end of February. (2)two months of investigation took place.

The IRS shut down all of January this year dealing with this issue.

Mr. [redacted] has committed tax evasion. He is a criminal. He has much more to concern himself with than what he has wasted the time of my company and the Revdex.com.

Mr. [redacted] will not get a refund do to a misspelling of a name. It is the responsibility of the taxpayer to make sure their name is spelled properly. It is not illegal. It is common and easily corrected.

AND, Just because he does not use the return, Does not mean I did not prepare it. I did the work. Whether he submits it or not has nothing to do with my office.

Mr. [redacted] was not going to send in the return I prepared anyway. It was legal. Didn't have a large unsubstantiated refund attached.

I instructed Mr. [redacted] to amend the (2)two previous returns. Get honest. He refused.

If the return I prepared had a large bogus refund attached I'm sure he would have had no problem correcting a misspelled name.

Review: We paid My tax lady to take care of court papers for us. Not only was he extremely unprofessional he didn't his job. He was supposed to file all of our paperwork 6 months ago to be finalized January 2014 and when we called the court house today to make sure everything was still set they were missing a bunch of information. When we went down to the My tax lady office he tried to say he called us to get more info but couldn't reach us.. Which is a total lie. This guy is rude and clearly shouldn't be doing business. Now we are set back another 6 months because of this.. AND out the money we paid for his services.Desired Settlement: It would be nice to get our $150 back since we paid him and he didn't do anything he was supposed to. He really shouldn't be allowed to do business... Ever.
