DO NOT use this company! My credit card was charged and NO service was provided. When I called to ask why I was told to call back in 3 hours!! Total scam.

Review: My Tech Bay is also know as Yoda Care. I purchased a tech support agreement that included protection of computer and software support. They recently changed over to Yoda Care and started to harass me about buying a internet/network protection plan. They have called twice out of the blue and telling me that someone is hacking my network and I need to call them right away to avoid my data being compromised. Of course, I am upset about it and so when I get home I allow them to remote in to check out the issue. I spend an hour or more discussing and then they say I need to purchase a 200 or 600 dollar service agreement to fix the problem. They did not tell me it was a sales call. I thought it was related to my current service plan. Today at 2:30 PM EST, they called again and said the same thing. I told them directly that if this is related to selling me a service I am not interested. The [redacted] said it was not the case and they were just trying to fix a network problem. I complied and allowed them access to my computer remotely to diagnosis the issue. They pointed out that foreign addresses in Ontario Canada were trying to attack my IP address. They also said that my McAfee virus protection was being turned off. It sounded like the same thing from the last calls. I asked again, what was the purpose of this call because I am not buying anything. I expect my current service agreement to take care of the issue. [redacted] began raising his voice and yelling at me. I told him that I did not appreciate this rude attitude and that I am disconnecting. He did not allow me to disconnect and began moving my mouse around so I could not gain access to my computer. I told him to stop doing that and he said he was not doing it. It was obvious that he was because the mouse was moving while I was trying to disconnect the remote access. So, I had to power off my computer to gain control of my computer. I felt like I was being kidnapped and held against my will. They used deceptive tactics and violated my right.Desired Settlement: Refund due to deceptive advertising, harassment, violating my rights by holding me hostage.

Review: October 2012 I discovered that I had a Trojan virus on my computer and was referred to My Tech Bay by my virus software company, AVG. My Tech Bay resolved the problem for a cost of $300 which was to include a 2 year plan with full technical support should any additional issues arise. I was happy with the fix and developed a feeling of trust for this company. February 2014 I received a phone call from a My Tech Bay representative, [redacted], claiming that my computer was sending them error messages and that it had been hacked. At first, I was alarmed and due to my initial trust for the company I allowed him remote access of my computer assuming that he would fix the problem. However, after a lengthy sales pitch, I grew increasingly skeptical of his intentions. When asked point blank what the solution to the problem was he said that I needed to purchase some kind of package to fix the problem. I stated that I already had a 2 year plan with them free of cost. When he pressed for the "new" plan I asked to have control back over my computer. He grew noticeably angry and I watched helplessly as the mouse raced across my screen. He finally ended our remote access session and I thanked him and hung up the phone. As soon as I hung up the phone programs began disappearing from my screen. Within 5 minutes I received a call from My Tech Bay saying, "Now you are having problems with your computer. Do you want us to fix it?" I told him that I no longer needed help from My Tech Bay and that I would have a techie friend of mine fix it. Since February 2014 I have received several phone calls from My Tech Bay representatives. I have asked them to stop calling me, but they continue to call and pester me. April **, 2014 they called at 7:53 am and again at 11:16 am. At this point, I don't want anything more to do with them. I just want them to stop calling me.Desired Settlement: My Tech Bay has a responsibility to honor their customer's wishes to not be contacted.

Review: Received call form my bank that this company attempted to place authorization on my Credit card for it was declined but the went a place a sale For $59.99 which is under the limit the need a verification . The transaction was not made by me or was I authorized by me .Desired Settlement: Have the company investigate where the calls or online attempted fraud came from and ether supply me with that so I can file criminal charges or they file the charges. I want to be notified ether way

Review: I had a defective Dell Laptop. I went on line and called who I thought was Dell Computer Technical Support. I asked the person if I was talking to Dell and they answered yes. Over the phone they had me log into another laptop I had and claimed that the computer was being hacked and had serious problems. They supposedly transferred me to the third part service Dell used to help me fix the HP Laptop that they claimed was being hacked. They claimed for $329.99 I was getting a Lifetime Warranty to have Network Security and 2 years of technical service. They guaranteed me that after they spent 1 hr reemoting into my laptop that the computer would no longer be hacked and would be fixed. The day after it was susposedly secure someone outside my network was printing documents to my printer. I called Yoda Care back and they told me that I would no longer have that problem after they remoted into my computer for a second time and fixed it. The next day I had strange things happen to my laptop that suggested problems and once again my printer printed documents that none of my household within my network had sent. They told me that if I was ever not satisfied that they had fixed the hacking and other problems of security that I could get my money back. On day 3 of services from Yoda Care and only after leaning from the Real Dell Computer technical support that my network was already secure before and Yoda Care misrepresented themselves I asked for an end to Yoda Care Services and asked for a return of my $329.99. Yoda Care refused to give any of my money back unless I paid them another $100 which I had lost trust in their services and was not about to give them more money.Desired Settlement: I just want to end service with Yoda Care and get refunded my Credit Card Credit of $329.99
