Review: We purchased a 2006 Lexus 400 hybrid for 13100 for my father. This is our first time buying a hybrid and was not very familiar with this type of car. My father was very concerned about it being a hybrid and the owner [redacted] and the sales rep Dean repeatedly stated there is a 150,000 mile or 10 year dealership warranty on this car. In fact they showed us a printed up paper of the warranty on the car. We hesitated and debated, but at this point the owner [redacted] said he had to leave. The sales rep Dean then took over again told us there's warranty on the car. We decided to purchase the car for my father because of this warranty. The car was purchased on 1/13/2015. The week of 2/4/2015 it rained really hard and my father was visiting family members and friends in Redding Ca. The car was parked outside in the pouring rain overnight in a apartment parking lot. On the morning of 2/6/2015, my father woke up to go to visit another family member and when he turned on the engine a "check hybrid system" light came on. My father said the engine then turned off and he couldn't get it to turn back on. We called a Lexus dealership here in Sacramento and explained the situation to them. We gave them the VIN number of the car but there is no warranty on the car. We called Roseville Lexus and the same thing was stated "no such warranty." I then called My Three Sons Auto and spoke to Dean. He told me he will call me back that same but no response. It took them 2 days to get back to us. Since then My Three Sons Auto has not respond back to me. I have to call them everytime I need to talk to someone or find out anything. After several attempts and actually going to the dealership to speak to someone in person we finnally spoke to Joe the manager and we finally got the car towed 1 week after it died. Now they say they will fix it but they are replacing the hybrid system with a used one. If they say there's a warranty it should cover for a new hybrid battery. We have asked for our money but no responsDesired Settlement: Full amount $13100.

We are replacing the battery on this car for the customer.It took us a couple days to collect information and also get someone to go all the way up to Redding to retrieve the car.The car battery was flooded by the customer and ruined in that rain storm.We stand by our word and are working with this customer.We were mislead about the warranty and could have easily told the customer it was "as is".We have had several phone calls with this customer.But we have other customers to help as well.We are a small shop and we do our best.We feel hurt that we are working with the customer and they still wrote this.[redacted]Owner My Three Sons Auto SalesResearch has proved a leak in a seal above the battery to be the cause of these flooded batteries in the Lexus. It took some research to solve the mystery. We are working with the customer presently. Thank you.
