Guest had made reservation through Internet, Best Western's online booking siteThis reservation was not created at
the propertyBest Western has different rate plan distributing onlineThere are few option for guest to selectOne with little higher price with less restrictive cancellation policy and some with discounted price with strict cancellation policy
Guest had selected discounted rate plan, discounted price with non cancellationBefore they finalize reservation they have to accept terms and condition at least times before finalizingIt clearly states that it is non cancellable reservationsSo guest is well aware of policy
Guest had called hotel and ask to cancel reservation, ( did not mention any reason) front desk clerk had checked in the computer system to see the source of the reservation and rate planFound that guest had made reservation through internet, online booking siteSo advised guest to cancel the reservation the way they have made.
Few hours later Best Western Reservation department called and ask if we can cancel reservationBest Western had told guest that it is non cancellable reservation Since it is non cancellable reservation, as a courtesy we offer guest that we will charge only for one night, not entire stay

I have refunded $100.43 on her visa.
 
I would like to make few things clear with her. Cancellation policy was set by Best Western not the hotel. 
By accepting term and condition online she had given authority to charge card, so it is not unauthorized charge.
She was well aware for all these.
 
I don't have time to fight for JUST $100.43. SO REFUNDING THE MONEY.

I do not feel this is a good way of doing business. I booked this reservation with every intention of being able to make it to our family reunion. But because my daughter had to go into the hospital on an emergency and I needed to be here I had to cancel, I gave the property plenty of notice. I have never heard of any hotel doing this with more than 24 hr notice. Best Western should not be allowing something like this to exist with a non cancellation. I know I will not accept this and will fight it until it is resolved. The owner would not even consider the situation. We had my entire family staying at this hotel. I decided not to make a stink about it to my family in hopes that the owner would prove me wrong that he was an understanding person as to the situation. There for my family stayed there. I am extremely disapointed that any business operates like this. No matter what price they say they were giving me it is not worth operating this way. I have filed a complaint with the bank that this is an unauthorized charge. I intend to fight this until my money is returned to me. I am on a fixed income and can not afford to be giving away $100 for just any reason.
