I had a very disappointing experience with My Contractors License.com.

I spent over $2,000 on their program expecting a structured, reliable path to prepare for the North Carolina Contractors Exam. Unfortunately, the material felt poorly aligned with the actual exam content. Much of the program seemed to involve randomly highlighting sections of the books without clear direction, while the practice exams focused heavily on material that was either barely covered or not emphasized at all.

To make matters worse, after realizing I needed additional help specifically with the Business Law portion, I reached out to see if I could purchase just that section. Despite already spending $2,000 with them, I was quoted another $300 for a single portion of the program. That felt completely unreasonable and honestly like a slap in the face as an existing customer.

There was little flexibility, no real effort to support someone who had already invested heavily in their system, and overall the customer experience was extremely frustrating.

In my opinion, this company is overpriced for what it delivers, lacks alignment with the actual exam, and falls short when it comes to customer care and ethics.

I would strongly recommend looking at other options—there are better programs out there that actually support their customers and provide more relevant preparation.
