Meyers contracting did an amazing job on our roof They roofed my parents house and we were so impressed we used them on ours and I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing a roof They helped us with everything from working with our insurance adjuster to picking shingle colors Very knowledgeable about the process and products Always available for me to contact when I had a question They are overall an amazing company to work with

Improper installation of new roof leading to massive interior water damageEnsuing repairs only made matters worseThey didn't install per contract On 07/28,18, we contacted Above All Roofing for new roof on our side on duplex/condo [redacted] cameover, we discussed job, signed contract, and gave him 50% down payment of $2,We returned to Kure Beach the next week and they said the job was completed even though I specifically stated to them that we wanted to be there when the roof was installedWe did a visual inspection and, not being a roofer, I thought it looked a bit sloppy bur acceptable and paid [redacted] the owner, the remaining amount of another $2,We secured the condo as the hurricane was coming and felt confident that our new roof had been put on just in timeWe were out of town when hurricane struck and the day after, our neighbor who checked on our condo called to say we had massive water damage to ceiling and wallsWhen we arrived back in

Above all roofing took my $deposit and has not installed a new roofThe sales man and main office will not answer or return my calls On November 13, I met with Above all Roofing's sales man [redacted] regarding a new roof for my homeHe indicated his company would do a great jobHe said the shingles would be up graded to architecture grade and the vents would be extended etcHe told me he was a neighbor and chatted with me for a whileHe told me about his roof and his family etcHe really wanted to help me and said he was going to take the job for a few dollars less than it was worthHe said if his boss didn't like it, he could fire himI could see the contract was not too important as all the details about every little thing could not be written on a formI was dealing with a neighbor and new friend and did not need to worry about every little detail [redacted] returned to ask me to pick the color of shingles I wantedHe said the work would be done on December

Failed to show upFailed to callI followed up the next day, he was very polite and offered to fix the issue for free of it wasn't majorThis is a rental so my renters spent a day home during the busy holidays waiting for himHe claimed to call and send a text to schedule another appointmentAgain, I followed up and finally got him connected with the renterThey set up a timeAgain, he stayed home awaiting him and he was a no show, and failed to even callNow he won't answer my callsI hired these guys based on their wonderful reviewsI'm not sure what happened
Only after I posted a review did I get a responseI was asked to remove itFinally he showed up, without even telling me he was going out and then sent a message saying the job was complete
See photos below....This is the result of the job Once it was finally completeI'm out over $as a result of this incomplete work! Thats the flashing Job!?!? I now need shingles, flashing, plywood, Sheetrock, paint and ceiling repair and that assuming there is no extensive mold damage!!!!

This entire company lacks work ethic, morals and communicationThe salesman quoted me for a house roof and a small shed roof, both full replacementsPaid the down payment, which was half the whole priceThe crew that came to do my house roof was early, fast and seems to have done a good jobOnce they finished the house, they said they would be back the next day to do the shedWell, they never showed up, and when I communicated with the salesman (phone calls a many texts later), he told me they were on a big job and would be back in daysWell, they never show upAfter many more phone calls and texts, the salesman finally says they will be there on another dayThey never show upThis happens timesDuring all of this, I have called the main office and tried to speak with the manager or owner, and never heard anything from anyoneFinally, I tell the salesman that if my job isn't finished by a certain day I will have someone else do it and I won't pay them the 2nd half of their moneyThat prompts the contract manager to call meHe proceeds to blame everything on the salesman and says they will definitely be there the following day to finishGuess what?!?! No one shows up! I try calling and texting the manager and never hear anything back from himSo I send him the same text saying I will find someone else to do the job and they get no more moneyThat prompts the owner to call and leave me a voicemailI try calling him back for days and can't leave a message because the mailbox is fullMind you, this is week of me trying to get my job finishedAfter days of calling and texting the owner, with no reply, he calls me the next day saying he's following up on completed jobs and trying to get moneyHe's calling me, asking for money, not realizing that my job isn't finishedI laid into him, of course, about how horrible his employees are and how can he run a company this way, just letting him know how I feelYou know he blamed everything on everyone else and that's why he's calling people to try to clean up messes, blah blah blahSo, I decided to give him one more chance (I know, I messed up)He says someone will be there the next day to have the shed finishedNow, they did actually show up this time, late, one guy that isn't even a roofer (found that out too late) and trainees, thinking this was just a covjobI had no clue what that was, but no, this is a full roof replacementAnyways, these didn't bring any of the proper tools, were full of excuses and didn't get anything accomplished that dayIt rained, a little, and they didn't want my things in the shed to get messed up, so they left to come back the next dayThey show up the next day, late, and it looked like they were getting somewhereIt starts raining again, and the radar is clear after this little shower, but it's Friday and they get off at so they might as well just clean up and head homeNext day, handyman shows up alone, late, and is on the phone the entire time he is up on the roof taking off the shinglesIt's almost Christmas so he has to go shopping, but he has all the shingles off and will come back the day after Christmas and finish, with his best helperSo, the day after Christmas he shows up, alone and late, and gets to workHe sends me pictures of the felt he put on and knocks off early because there's no point in starting the shingles now, he will be back tomorrow with help and finishThat night it starts raining, I go look in the shed and it is leaking just a little Wake up the next morning, pouring rain, shed is soaking wet on the insideThis handyman had put the felt on the wrong way!! Call him, no answerCall the owner, no answerSend a group text telling them I expect someone out here in the next hour fixing this problem, and finishing my shed or I will have someone else do it and no moneyOf course that gets a response, handyman will be there with help and finish todayThis time he does show up with an actual roofer who calls him out immediately on the felt, and they work all day and night in the rain and get the job doneIt took a month to get my small square shed roof done with this companyAll I heard were lies, blaming of others and BS about wanting to do the job right and make me happyAfter talking to others about my experience with this company, I have heard many other stories just as badDon't do business with them

Great service Loved they went above and beyond to make sure no nails were in the yard or flowerbeds They put a tarp from the roof to the ground to cover up all shrubs while taking shingles off

Meyers contracting did an amazing job on our roof. They roofed my parents house and we were so impressed we used them on ours and I would strongly recommend them to anyone needing a roof. They helped us with everything from working with our insurance adjuster to picking shingle colors. Very knowledgeable about the process and products. Always available for me to contact when I had a question. They are overall an amazing company to work with.
