Stay away! I took a wheel barrow wheel in for a new tire. The customer service man wrote it up, told me he would order the correct tire and call me when it was ready. He gave me an invoice and told me I could pay when I picked it up. I got the call and returned. There was a different customer service who got my wheel and tire and told me the price which was more than twice the amount I was given before! Even though I was presenting the original invoice, he refused to honor it and started getting rude, actually snotty. He said the man who had helped when before was on vacation.

Review: I purchased a mower drive belt for a Craftsman lawn mower from Myers & Rhodes on April 26, 2013. I installed it myself and used the mower until the belt snapped during the week of June 16. Had I used the mower every week (which I did not) I would have gotten only eight uses out of this new belt. It typically takes me about an hour to mow my lawn. The last belt was used for 10 years before it needed to be replaced. My Myers & Rhodes receipt explains that there is no warranty on their belts. However, I feel that a belt that only lasts approximately eight hours is defective and a refund should be made. The person I complained to at M & R was professional and reasonably courteous, but explained that there must be some problem with my mower. I have checked the pulleys etc. and there is nothing out of order and nothing that would cause a belt to break. I have replaced the defective belt with a Craftsman belt and everything works fine. I feel that the belt I purchased from Myers & Rhodes was defective and that Myers & Rhodes should make it right by refunding the purchase price of the belt which was $33.50 with tax.Desired Settlement: I feel that the belt I purchased from Myers & Rhodes was defective and that Myers & Rhodes should make it right by refunding the purchase price of the belt which was $33.50 with tax.

There is no resolution offered by Myers & Rhodes. Their response exhibits their characteristic arrogance and poor customer service. They sold me a defective belt and my response is to share my experience at Myers & Rhodes with every homeowner, business owner and farmer I know. Thanks for attempting to resolve this.
