An agreement was made by telephone with [redacted] to service her rear door. It was clearly understood the minimum charge for a service call was $90.00. On the morning agreed  I arrived at her residence for the service call. I introduced myself and asked to see the problem. I remember the...

exchange to be pleasant and agreeable. She showed me the problem with the rear entry door. The door was not shutting tightly at the top allowing drafts and causing rattling, there was more than a quarter inch gap at the top of the non-hinged side. The door was not warped but the jamb was out of square and plumb likely due to settling of the foundation walls below. The jamb area where the strike plates were mounted was in extremely poor condition with broken out wood and stripped screw holes causing the strike plates to shift and the door to not close tightly. I began as stated to attempt to bend the door as much as possible into a better position. I did not say as [redacted] stated I could bend the door back into place, It sometimes helps but I never said that it would be the solution. It helped very little. What helped more was shaving down the stop on the lower portion of the jamb to allow the door to close more completely and then moving the strike plates.  The chiseled out strike plate area was in poor condition having numerous screw holes from previous installations making it necessary to fill the area with epoxy in order that a solid surface for remounting of the plates could be achieved. After doing this work the door closed almost completely at the top and bottom. With the help of a  a thin weatherstrip application it sealed tightly. I asked [redacted] to take a look and she agreed that it was closing very nicely and seemed pleased.  It was agreed there was a significant improvement in the way it operated and closed. The locks worked properly and where there had been the opening allowing drafts the door was now closing  tight in the jamb.  I applied additional epoxy to the strike area so it would not shift and suggested it not be used until the epoxy set. We then discussed another job that needed to be done and it was agreed that I would return to do that project. Everything seemed quite amicable and friendly. The bill was exactly the amount I had quoted, $90.00, our minimum charge. [redacted] made out a check, we chatted for a bit on the front porch, said our goodbyes and agreed that I would return in October do some additional work at a discounted price of $30.00.That afternoon I received a message that the dead bolt was not working properly. It had worked when I left but for some reason it was now not working correctly. I came back to the residence within a few hours, met her husband and made an adjustment to his satisfaction. We checked the door and it closed and locked properly. This was the last I heard from either [redacted] or her husband until we received the Revdex.com message. Had they contacted us about the problem we would have been happy to make any necessary corrections. I regret that the service was not done to their satisfaction and want to do whatever is necessary to turn this around. We are happy to refund the 90.00 payment  or to make a visit and see if the problem can be corrected. We want [redacted] and all clients to be completely satisfied with our work.We appreciate feed back from our customers. Without exception the responses we receive have been extremely helpful and positive. We have an A rating on Angie's list with many perfect reviews. I only say this because of the very negative tone of [redacted]'s response. To say that I was rude is something I will not allow to go unanswered. I believe I was polite and professional and have an extensive track record of good customer service and excellent reviews. I  have never been ill-mannered or disrespectful to any client. [redacted] has an electrician, plumber, and another handyman he works with for the various projects and they are all professional and knowledgable. We were also working on a new tile flooring job ourselves and [redacted] was kind enough to let us borrow his wet saw so we could finish the ton of cuts we had to do. Overall we have been very satisfied with [redacted] and plan to continue to work with him on all the stuff we want to upgrade/improve in our home. [redacted]  Milwaukee, WI   .......We used myHandyPro about a month ago. We used them once as we had a lot of little things we needed fixed. He did a great job. He did a bunch of odd jobs throughout the house. They were excellent. They were very good. I don't recall the price. It was reasonable. You show him what you need done. You leave him alone and he does it. He did it quickly and he did not waste any time. He did a lot of work in the one day he was here with us.  He works fast and does a great job. He was wonderful. [redacted]   Milwaukee, WI   ........We used myHandypro for moving some window air conditioners into a place. They also did a few other odd jobs.I am satisfied with them; they came on time and were efficient. They did not damage anything, got the work done and the price was reasonable.. He was good at what he did, did it well and did it quickly. The price could have been a little less because I did not have a lot done, but they had a minimum hourly and I had to make some work up for them to do, which is okay because I needed to have it done anyway. They are not too far away from here.[redacted],  Wauwatosa .....[redacted] was professional and got the job done the way I wanted it done. Saved me a lot of money. I will use myHandyPro.biz again if any problems arise. [redacted]  Milwaukee, WI  ...... [redacted] was able to squeeze us into his schedule with 48 hours notice.  He was extremely punctual and came with all of the tools and supplies needed to complete the job.  My wife and I are very busy and [redacted] was able to help out with several projects around our house and did a wonderful job.  I would highly recomend [redacted] and his team to my friends and fully plan on using him again. [redacted]  Milwaukee, Wi   ......I hope these statements balance the record a little. With respect, goodwill and hope for a mutually beneficial resolution,[redacted]myHandypro

We apologize to Mr [redacted] for not providing him a receipt for our work. We use a service for taking payments and fulfillment of sending receipts. It is automatically done when a customer provides an email address. We are not sure why it was not received by post. At the time Mr [redacted] notified us...

that he had not received his receipt we notified our service and were told that it was sent but they would send it again. Unfortunately Mr. [redacted] has still not received his receipt.
We will make sure he gets his receipt ASAP.

Again we regret any inconvenience this has caused and will make the necessary changes to make sure this does not happen again.

Yours truly,

Review: I contacted the owner of MyHandyPro ([redacted]) by phone twice requesting a receipt for services rendered by one of

his electricians during the month of August. He immediately took my credit card information the day the services

were rendered and assured me a receipt would be mailed. It's been more than 3 weeks and I've yet to receive

a receipt.Desired Settlement: All I want is the mailed receipt I originally requested. It's unfortunate a customer has to go thru

red tape just to get a receipt for services. I had plans of utilizing MyHandyPro in the future but

will not due to difficulty in getting something as simple as a receipt. I did not want to provide

MyHandyPro with my e-mail address. I've had my share of problems with other businesses once

I've provided them with my e-mail address.

Review: I hired [redacted] from MyHandyPro. I scheduled him to assess my warped back door. He and I discussed how that was not in code to place a lock at the top of the door.He then explained to me that he could bend the door back, he placed a bucket in the frame of the door,he tried to push on the warped wooden door. To no avail, the door remained unbent. He told me that he would have to whittle the wood frame down slightly to help the door fit into the door frame. Again, to no avail, the warped door did not fit properly into the door frame. He than said ok, let's try and move the strike plate, it will hopefully hold the door a little tighter in the frame. He did so. He used epoxy to place the strike plate on the wood frame. He said you need weather stripping, I said I have some in my garage. I got it, and he applied it to the frame. He said ok, let the door sit open for an hour to let the epoxy dry. When I went to close it an hour later it not only didn't fit into the frame of the door, but the dead bolt would not turn over. I texted him and asked him to return to fix it that night. My husband was home, I did not see the correction, but to this night the door does not lock with ease, The door is WORSE off than if I had just left it alone. He was just suppose to come over and give a quote rather he forced himself, and said, ok, I will get to work and fix this! I was late to work myself because he RUDELY invited himself to stay and "get to work". When he finally finished, he said How's $90 sound- I begrudgingly wrote the check. The check bounced, I quickly corrected my mistake. So, overall "Pro Handy" man cost me more than I bargained for. He was RUDE to invite himself to stay and "get to work". His work was NOT NOT NOT worth $90, he did not fix the door. WE WILL NOT HAVE this man back to our house EVER AGAIN. He was a complete waste of my husband's and my time.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund. My wood frame that houses the strike plate is destroyed because of his choice of using epoxy. I will have to have the wood frame repaired and the strike plate reset. I would like to apply the money to a new worker to fix my door.
