We hired Myriad Cleaning to clean a rental townhouse between tenants, hoping to support a smaller, local businessHowever, we should have realized this was a bad decision from the startThe website lists an offer for $off for new customersThe owner refused to honor this - stating that the offer was only good in February - the website did not state this anywhere Also, every other cleaning company we called had a waitlist for ~ month, whereas Myriad was available the next week....should have been a telltale signThe owner/cleaner did not even finish half of the unit on the first day, demanding nearly the same amount to clean the remaining portion of the townhouse on the second day understand the unit was more than she could handle - but she should have at least called upon entering the unit or mid-way through the first day to let me know thisWe paid her for another day to finish the unit I had to re-arrange my schedule to be back on the second day to let the owner / cleaner into the unitUpon informing the owner / cleaner of the unsatisfactory job - she very unprofessionally / rudely made comments via text about me being unprofessional for not being able to leave a client meeting in Waterloo in time to make it to let her in on time the second day (to minutes late) - when I already informed her that I would likely be late but would hurry to make it When we came back to the unit on the 3rd day - after not receiving a call from the owner / cleaner after finishing on the second day - we found dust on the kitchen hanging pendant light, smudgy finger prints and dried food still stuck on the kitchen cabinets, dirt and grime on the base boards, dirt on the window sill, and water damage to the wood floors below the ice maker / water dispenser of the fridge (apparently they turn off the freezer when cleaning and then never turn the freezer back on - even when there are no tenants in a unit - leaving ice to melt in the icemaker and lines.....but the owner claims water would not leak from the unit unless the unit was broken- taking no responsibility! The owner continues to claim no responsibility, even though acknowledging they turned off the freezer and left it off - stating this is common practice) The owners claims that laundry rooms are not included in cleaning estimates either - beware! When we sent pictures of the grime / dirt / dust - the owner immediately claimed we picked the items up out of the trash - taking zero responsibility and offending me! Very unprofessional and rudeAlso, the owner will attempt to avoid responsibility by claiming you are taking advantage of a small businessNot sure how pictures of dirty, grimy, dusty baseboards, light fixtures, cabinets and water damaged floors is taking advantage of a small business it is purely poor service when paying for a "deep clean." Definition of "deep clean" on their website: "Deep cleaning includes a very extensive thorough cleaningIncluding but not limited to: baseboards, windows, kitchen cupboards inside and out, electrical plates, carpet cleaning, bathroom deep clean, oven, microwave, dusting, and much more!" Upon asking the owner to call to discuss the issues or come by the rental unit, she stated that she was in a meeting and never called

We hired Myriad Cleaning to clean a rental townhouse between tenants, hoping to support a smaller, local business. However, we should have realized this was a bad decision from the start. The website lists an offer for $50 off for new customers. The owner refused to honor this - stating that the offer was only good in February - the website did not state this anywhere. Also, every other cleaning company we called had a waitlist for ~ 1 month, whereas Myriad was available the next week....should have been a telltale sign... The owner/cleaner did not even finish half of the unit on the first day, demanding nearly the same amount to clean the remaining portion of the townhouse on the second day understand the unit was more than she could handle - but she should have at least called upon entering the unit or mid-way through the first day to let me know this. We paid her for another day to finish the unit. I had to re-arrange my schedule to be back on the second day to let the owner / cleaner into the unit. Upon informing the owner / cleaner of the unsatisfactory job - she very unprofessionally / rudely made comments via text about me being unprofessional for not being able to leave a client meeting in Waterloo in time to make it to let her in on time the second day (15 to 20 minutes late) - when I already informed her that I would likely be late but would hurry to make it.
When we came back to the unit on the 3rd day - after not receiving a call from the owner / cleaner after finishing on the second day - we found dust on the kitchen hanging pendant light, smudgy finger prints and dried food still stuck on the kitchen cabinets, dirt and grime on the base boards, dirt on the window sill, and water damage to the wood floors below the ice maker / water dispenser of the fridge (apparently they turn off the freezer when cleaning and then never turn the freezer back on - even when there are no tenants in a unit - leaving ice to melt in the icemaker and lines.....but the owner claims water would not leak from the unit unless the unit was broken- taking no responsibility!
