Mystery Chocolate Box sent 3 chocolates for March, 2020. Each chocolate had an allergen label. All three chocolates were incorrect, and resulted in my daughter consuming a chocolate containing her allergen, and risking her health and safety. I asked on multiple occasions if the company planned to contact those who purchased the chocolates in order to inform them and prevent a potentially fatal incident, to which the company has failed to reply, even as the company continued to converse with me.

Other (requires explanation) I would like Mystery Chocolate Box to promptly contact all people who have received the box of mislabeled potentially fatal chocolates in order to prevent a safety incident. I would also like a cancellation of my family's monthly subscription, and I would like the company to treat this issue seriously. They are trying to release a gluten and allergy free subscription. I would like the company to be evaluated for their safety protocols and labeling procedures and for retraining.
This customer has already reached out to us directly via email and*** and we have already resolved their issue. They wanted to cancel their subscription as well as a prorated refund, which we have already provided. This customer seems to be quite upset and we strongly believe that they are opening a case with you with the sole purpose of damaging our reputation out of anger. Their issue was resolved on March 7th and confirmed via email, which is 2 days before they opened this case hence why it appears that they are acting in bad faith out of anger.

I am asking this company contact the people who may have allergies who may have received this box to inform them that it was mislabeled for public safety. Food allergies are a serious matter that can result in hospitalization or death. I have asked the company on multiple occasions asking themto address this issue, and they have not replied to my request. I do not want to damage the company reputation. I am a ***, and I could have posted a public post about the issue, but I have not, because I am asking the company handle this. However, if the company does not, I will not risk people's lives. I will let the public know that they are refusing to take proper steps to notify their customers of a potentially deadly mistake they made that can lead to customers in the hospital or worse. There are undeclared treenuts in two of the three products from the March box.
It seems that there is confusion around the allergy labeling. The three chocolate bars that we sent out in our monthly shipment contained tree nuts. All three of the allergy information labels on these bars said either "contains tree nuts" or "may contain tree nuts". This labeling gives any consumer with such sensitivity warning that they need to either stay away from the product or use an abundance of caution (or, contact us before consuming in order to confirm the ingredients, which we recommend in our terms & conditions). We are very sorry that there was an issue here around a potential allergy!
Lastly, if there are ever any customers considering our product who have food sensitivities, in our FAQs we generally recommend that you do not purchase any products from us unless you are certain that you will not have any adverse reactions.

According to the FDA, the major 8 food allergens must be listed in one of two ways: parentheses or in a contains statement. A may contain statement is not the same as a contains statement, and this is in violation of FDA requirements for labeling food labels for major 8 allergens. I am requesting again that the purchasers of this product be informed. I do understand that people can make mistakes, but it is wrong and dangerous to not inform your customers when you make a deadly mistake. I am asking, again, that you address this issue yourself, rather than having me take the next actions to alert the public on this issue.
