Myzak Plumbing & Heating

Review: I live in a mobile home in a mobile home park north of [redacted]. Sometime in February my water supply froze up. I do not have a record of the exact date.On Sunday, March 8 the water supply finally thawed. We determined that there was at least onebroken pipe due to the freezing. We could clearly hear water running inside the house.On monday, March 9 we called Myzak plumbing to come and look at the problem. Myzak had been recommended by someone that works with my eldest daughter.In retrospect, this was a very poor recommendation.An appointment was made for someone to come out on Tuesday, March 10th.Their employee showed up on March 10 at the appointed time.He looked at the situation and determined that at least one (possibly more) pipes or\pipe fittings had fractured due to the freezing.The setup of my mobile home is such that there is little space between the axels and the earthleaving little room for someone to get into the space to repair the problem.He suggested that we cut a hole in the floor to get to the damage.He then CHARGED me $ 120.00 to tell me that there was NOTHING he could do.I paid the bill using check # [redacted].Please understand, I expected to be charged SOMETHING, but in my opinion,$ 120.00 was excessive for doing NOTHING.That $ 120.00 represents 10% of my monthly Social Security income.In addition, I called a friend (which I should have done in the first place)He was able to get into the space in question and repair the problem.He was able to reach the break by climbing between the axel of the home andthe frame. He had PLENTY of room to do the work. This individual had no experiencewith plumbing but was willing to do the job. I had explain to the friend just how to cut, fit & glue the pipe.The particular circumstance required the repairman to think OUTSIDE the box.He completed the repairs in less than one hour.I want to warn the [redacted] area to stay away from Myzak Plumbing as I believe them to be nothing more than a rip-off outfit.Desired Settlement: I believe that Myzak will never refund the excessive charge, companies like them are only interested in making a profit, but their charge was WAY out of line.They did NOTHING !$ 120.00 for doing NOTHING !I want to WARN the consumers of [redacted] COUNTY to stay AWAY from these thieves.They should be avoided like the PLAGUE.
