I been trying to ready mzm coaching services for awhile now. I am not very pleased with their services. The number listed is no longer in service. Please help me reach this company. I been charged to my credit card over 4,000.00 for their services and not very pleased. I appreciate any information or contact number of this company.. thank you

Michael U & I agreed on a settlement and signed documents and I still have yet to receive my settlement
Back in May, I was contacted by Michael U about the complaints I issued against the company previously. We agreed over the phone to a $4,000 settlement. We both signed the agreement at the end of May. I received the settlement check in the beginning of July. However, there was an issue that came up at my bank when I went to deposit it. The teller called *** and the representative she talked with told her it wasn't a valid check. At that time, PNC said they had to void the check.

Michael did contact PNC and they were working together to resolve this issue for awhile. It turned out when he contacted ***, he was told by them that it would take 90 days before he could cancel out the cashier's check and reissue another check. I talked with Brittany, the office manager of the company who said they would reissue the check around October 1st which was 90 days from the check issue date.

On October 9, my case manager contacted the company and left a message. I received a call a few hours later from Michael on his cell phone stating not to contact them anymore and if I contacted him, he would get money from me. I was very shocked by what he stated and I told him it has been past the 90 days and he didn't seem to want to listen to me. He told me to contact PNC since they still had the check.

On October 10, I went to PNC and talked with the supervisor for awhile. She looked over the settlement agreements as well as other papers I had copies of from MZM Coaching Services. She ended up calling the official items department of *** and found out it was indeed a valid check. She admitted that somewhere there was a mistake made and the company did send out a valid check after all. Later on that day, she called me stating she talked with Michael and he said he would either reissue the check to my PO Box or he would send me a letter explaining he was having difficulty with cancelling out the check.

It has been a little over 2 months now and I have not received anything in the mail by the company or by Michael. PNC has tried reaching out to him several times with no response back. I don't know what's going on here but I think the way this is progressing is getting ridiculous. It should not take 2 months to reissue a check.

Desired Outcome

I am requesting that Michael U or Brittany the office manager contact me by phone and/or by mail regarding what is going on with the reissuing of the settlment check. I want to know exactly when I will be getting it in the mail with a tracking number

MZM Coaching Service Response • Dec 26, 2019

To Whom This May Concern,

MZM has issued a settlement check as agreed upon as Mr. stated. Mr. deposited said check into his personal PNC Bank account where they ended up holding the check, stating it was fraud. After multiple phone calls between Mr., PNC, & a visit to our personal *** business account it was determined that the check was a valid check and error on Mr. & PNC end. After speaking with ***, MZMs business bank account and the issuer of the cashier check, they stated the cashiers check will take 90-Days before they can cancel the cashiers check, but the physically check or copy will be needed in order to do so. We do not have a receipt of the check nor the physically copy, as PNC has this in their possession, to cancel and reissue another check.

This situation has been drawn out not because of MZM but because of clients personal bank. Again we cannot cancel the check without the physical check or a copy. At this point in time MZM has been harassed with calls from, Mr., his personal PNC branch, and a social/case worker. We've issued a verbal cease & desist so stop the calls and have communication forwarded via email but we've still receieved calls asking the same questions which we've given the same answer...we've done our part, PNC needs to either honor the check or re-issue it back.

It is to be know as well that MZM is no longer in business. All communication will be via email at [email protected]

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
So the past week and a half, I have attempted to resolve this issue. I have sent emails to [email protected] with no response. I have contacted PNC and got escalated to a higher level department who I am still working with. He claimed that since I still had a copy of the check that I should be able to go to a *** myself and be able to get the money. However, that did not work since I did travel to the nearest *** which is about an hour away and they couldn't do anything for me. They said it is up to the company. Since the check was voided out and would have been voided out as of October 1, 2019, they said that Michael should just be able to go to a branch and have the check reissued at this point. If *** refuses unless a copy of the check or the actual check is in hand, I'm not sure if that can be done at this point. I mentioned in the email which nobody responded is that I have a personal copy of the check I made from a copy machine before I tried depositing. It's not the greatest copy but it does have the account numbers and pretty much all of the important information. If Michael needs that and if it would help to reissue the check then let me know. I feel like I'm in the dark about a lot of this and PNC has just been giving me the runaround lately about the check. Also if this complaint is to be resolved to my liking, Michael or whoever is replying should have a direct way to contact them since nobody responded to my previous emails and if the company is closed up, how are you even receiving those emails anyway?

This company basically took $11,000 from me and did not do anything for me.
I was originally contacted by a company called Firestone National on Wednesday September 26, 2018. The company referred me over to MZM Coaching Services and they said they would enroll me in their debt validation program because of me being off from work and struggling to make my credit card payments. Their fee was to be collected off of my available credit on some of my credit cards. The total fee they collected from me according to the transactions from my card statements is $10,890. They were in contact with me at least once a week if not more during the time they collected their payments from the cards. After the payments were collected, I was basically ignored and felt like I had to constantly reach out to them ever since.

When I was first contacted by the company, they told me a completely different stories than what was told after I made the payments. They claimed that with the debt validation, I did not have to go through with a debt settlement or any other type of plan and they would take care of everything for me. The last person I talked with on Wednesday January 30, 2019 was one of the CEOs of the company whose name is Michael U. During that conversation, I told him that I did not agree with the written contract they sent me and that I was not going to sign it. I had several people look over the contract, including attorneys, and everyone said that the company was a scam and I got cheated out of my money. Legitimate companies do not ask for that much money especially upfront like they did. He was saying if the series of letters for the debt validation did not work that there were other programs like debt settlement. This did not make sense compared to what I was first told by the first 4 people I talked with at Firestone National & MZM Coaching Services as I was told this would be different. I told him that this debt validation program was not working and I wanted to cancel and get my money back. He told me he could cancel me out of the program but he could not issue me any refund due to working with them so long. I told him I don't agree with the written contract though and I am not signing it and because of that I should be able to cancel and get my money back but he refused to accept anything that I was saying to him.

I sent out the first set of letters to the creditors that they so called "prepared" for me, even though their name was nowhere to be found on the letters so the creditors think that I actually composed them which is not true. All of the contact was coming back to me. I had to pay out of my own pocket for stamps to mail the letters to my creditors. I told the people at MZM Coaching Services about the letters and they wanted me to pay more money out of my pocket to fax the letters over to them so they could see what the creditors were writing to me. I feel like this is very unfair since they collected almost $11,000 from me that I need to pay any extra and basically do all of the physical work and paying money out of my own pocket to mail/fax letters back and forth. I feel like I'm basically a middleman to this whole situation and I shouldn't have to be if they were to take care of everything.

I'm extremely upset that this company lied to me, used me to do basically all of their labor, and collected so much money from me for basically doing nothing for me. I do not agree with the contract because in the contract, they claim there is no guarantee that these debts will just go away like they claimed they would. My credit is ruined and I may now have to declare bankruptcy just to fix everything up.

Desired Outcome

Based on what I experienced with MZM Coaching Services, I want a full refund of the fee I paid them of $10,890. They basically did not do anything for me and I do not agree with the contract they sent me. I do not want their service since it will not work and they lied to me just to get my money and got me in a situation that is beyond repair. They do not even guarantee anything and everyone at that company, especially the CEOs say something different when I questioned them about things or when my case manager called in. There are many other companies out there who are more credible that will not charge such a steep fee and will not charge that much upfront.

MZM Coaching Service Response • Mar 11, 2019

Client has been a working with us dating back since September 26th of 2018.

Client worked with MZM as his personal financial coach during this time. He has had over 10 coaching session with our firm at which together we formulated a game-plan to coach him along the way to his financial goals.

Apart of clients game-plan was to participate in our debt validation program due to him being a victim in the past of fraud & him currently being unemployed.

It is to be known that as a financial coach any game-plan or programs referred cannot and will not guarantee the outcome of any program. This is not a program where you give MZMs agents your information and we do the work for you, nor is a do it yourself program as well, this is very much a team-work effort.

In the debt validation process, MZM prepares a series of 4 letter on the clients behalf. These letters are sent over the course of the program via email. It is the clients responsibility to mail the letters via certified mail, return receipt, log all collection calls received, send a proper cease communications letter to the collector who called, & submit copies of all collection letters received to the agent.

Client thus far has received 2 out of the 4 debt validation letters, 10 coaching sessions, & 6 cease & desist letters that have all been prepared by MZM staff.

Client understands and has acknowledged MZMs policies; including but not limited to our cancellation and/or refund policy. Attached you will find compliance calls that detail the debt validation program, authorization of any services fees associated with our services, & a detailed description of our cancellation/refund policy. Client is currently outside of the 5-Business Day window to grant a refund & unfortunately at this time we can do anything except give client more money.

We have spent countless man hours working on clients file, preparing documents, & even as going far as speaking with his social worker & the local police department as client has told both parties that we are a scam. It is to be known that both parties have spoken to us regarding the services and fully understand our relationship with the client.

We are always willing to help our clients despite the circumstances. We are always open for room for improvement as well. This client received each and everything he paid for and now is currently prohibiting our ability to further assist.

We hope this response gives enough information state our case.

Customer Response • Mar 14, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
So I do not accept this response of the business as a valid reason as to why I shouldn't be refunded my money. A lot of what they stated in their response is either false or only half true.

First of all, even though I was contacted by Firestone National & talked with MZM Coaching Services on September 26, 2018, I did not receive anything in writing from the business until December 28, 2018. That was the day I received both the written contract & the 1st set of debt validation letters. It clearly says in the written contract that I have 5 business days from signing it to get a refund of the price that was paid. Since I did not agree with the contract and am not going to sign it, I should be eligible for a full refund. What really gets me confused is that multiple people from that company were so concerned about me signing the written contract that they even had me meet up with a notary to hand deliver me the contract. Having said that, I explained this to the CEO Michael U and he acts like it wasn't even required so that basically goes against what everyone else at the company was saying & even what the contract says. I mean if this contract was so important, I don't understand why it got to me so late in the process if technically this all started in September why didn't I receive the contract to sign until the end of December? Shouldn't the contract have been sent out after that 1st phone call before it got too involved like it has? I'm just really confused by this process that they have involving the contract and then they act like it's not needed when it is which makes it more confusing. If I didn't know any better, I'd say this was their first time handling this program due to that and some other instances that occurred.

Anyway, next point is they stated I had 10 coaching sessions. I'm not sure what they mean by "coaching sessions" since I really never got coached. Most of those sessions I believe they are counting was when I was talking with the financial coaches about trying to do balance transfers & payments to their company. After that, it seemed like they didn't talk with me much and anytime I had issues/questions I always had to reach out to the company which was a hassle at times. I do have to say the only thing that the financial coaches did was the cease & desist calls with the creditors but I had to chase them down to even do that. That day I did talk with the financial coaches I was extremely upset with everything that was going on and how they weren't doing anything that I called every single number I had for the company and ended up reaching a security guard for them because they were all supposedly at a "meeting" at that time.

As far as the debt validation letters go, they are claiming I received 2 sets of validation letters when I only received the first set that was included with their written contract. I sent out those letters to the creditors mind you with my own envelopes I had to buy, find statements for my credit cards to put in them, & pay my own money for stamps for all of the letters. I spent time & money to do this step of the process and it didn't even work with any of my creditors with the responses that came back. I told one of the financial coaches that I was receiving these letters and she wanted to see them and told me to fax them. I never did that but if I would have, that would have been more time & money spent on this as well.

So I paid almost $11,000 to this company yet I still have to pay my own money to do all of these extra steps. I don't really understand what the money is being used for if they are making me pay my own money to do the labor in mailing these letters out and faxing their responses back to the company. It doesn't seem like any of the money was used for any of that yet they won't refund me the money. That is a lot of money for someone who doesn't have much to dish out.

I also want to point out that my case manager was the one that was skeptical of this company especially when he talked with the other CEO, Andrew T. He told me to talk with the police, attorneys, etc to look over the company & the contract when I finally had it in my possession. They all still informed me that this was a scam which is why I'm resorting to this now. All I want is my money back according to the rules/regulations laid out in the written contract. Since I did not sign it and since really nothing was done other than collecting my money, I think I deserve my money back.

MZM Coaching Service Response • Mar 14, 2019

We appreciate the respond and opinions shared by Mr..

It is to be know that all service charges/fees associated with MZMs services have been authorized by client on Sept 26, 2018 & on Oct 25, 2018. Not only were these charges authorized and valid but client also made personal payments via check & paypal. We've attached a copy of the compliance calls that were completed not only confirming the authorization to process our services fee but also stated our 5-Day Cancellation window.

Client did receive 10 personal coaching session with our financial coaches which were utilized as client stated to formulate game-plan & go over the program in detail. Each coaching session is to reinforce the service/program entered as well as coach performance. Client choose to utilize a few of these session by having us speak with his case manager to further explain the services and program in detail. Despite what client is saying his case manager stated he choose to move forward with the program.

Again this isn't a do it yourself kit and nor is it a service where client gives us their information and we do for the client. This is a teamwork effort, we understand the cost associate with mailing out each letter, cease & desist & creditor response. Nonetheless that does not change the fact that client has receive the services he has paid for and is currently prohibiting our ability to continue to assist/render services further. An agreement was offered, accepted, & made verbally as well as payment made to coincide with this agreement.

At this time MZM is refusing ALL refund request as client has utilize countless man hours with our firm; whether we were working on his file indirectly or during a coaching session directly with client. Client has also received documents prepared by our staff as well which he has also used. Unfortunately we can do anything for client except grant a refund.

Customer Response • Mar 15, 2019

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I do not accept this as a valid response. This company refused to abide by what is stated in the written contract. They are contradicting themselves yet again. I did not benefit at all from this program thus far and a great sum of money was taken from me by this company for practically nothing done in return. They have failed to explain their real program to me or what their true intentions were. I asked them specific questions on the 1st day that I interacted with the company yet they told me things that were not true just to get me to enroll in the program. This was not supposed to lead to a debt settlement program like what I'm being told now. I talked with a couple of other credit counselors and they said legitimate companies will not charge high upfront fees like they did. Also, one of them told me that debt validation is practically worthless. I went along with what MZM was saying because I had no hope and I was really struggling at the time even though I was really skeptical of their plan. I realize now that I should have never listened to them since this debt validation is not going to work on my credit cards. I just want my money back so I can go my own way with resolving my debt since I know with their way I'll end up with more debt that I definitely won't be able to get out of. Also I'm not a big fan of how I was talked to and treated by the CEOs & some of the staff at the company telling me I'm the one not telling the truth when in reality it was them not telling me the truth.

Please see attached*

I was called by MZM (a cold call) they stated I had a high debt to income ratio 2nd offered me a cease and desist plan (calling creditors myself keeping a log book of calls and they wanted to coach me as in what to say to the collectors. I replied and have received on phone that I wanted a hard copy to initial, sign, and have notarized, and that I didn't understand the cease & desist. After reviewing the hard copy I told them I didn't want their service. I still have the hard copy contract. I did not sign, initial, notarized, or send it back. They then went ahead and used my charge cards to bill me $3050.00 without a contract or my permission. They are refusing to return the $4050.00, which I am paying for along with interest fees. I called they refused to accommodate my wishes even though they don't have my contracts. Their CEO then emailed and offered me a loan which I refused after their previous deceit and fraudulent charge of $4050 I have as printer, hard copy was sent by mail which I still have original contract sent by mail.

Desired Outcome

Please see attached * I would like a written apology. All funds returned including APR charges since they put the charges of money on the cards I needed help with. $25.00 lawyer consultation. Attorney's fees should this go to court.

MZM Coaching Service Response • Mar 06, 2019

MZM Coaching Services is a financial coaching firm; our services are geared around the weekly & monthly coaching session as well as the game-plan formulated by client & MZM to assist client with any financial goals.

From August 21st till Nov 26th of 2018 client has spoken with our company a total of 10 times; 5 of those conversations being one-on-one coaching sessions with a MZM Financial Coach.

On August 22nd of 2018 client issued out a payment via check to MZM. This payment was received on Sept 5th of 2018 in the amount of $4490. This payment was initiated by the client & paid directly to our company for the sole intent to participate in our financial coaching service which also includes document prep assistance. A copy of the payment by checks have been attached below.

Nov 26th 2018 client declined to sign our financial coaching agreement after over a month of working with our firm on numerous occasions assisting not only with unsecured debt & household budgeting but also on his mortgage. Client went as far as referring his mother to partricpoate in the services as well.

On Nov 26th of 2018 Client declined to sign agreement stating the agreement had no guarantee therefore asking for a refund of all monies paid.

Client fully understood the program, services offered/rendered, the service fees associated with the our firm, & the refund policy associated with our company as per attached compliance call c1001287_d842.mp3

On August 22nd 2018 Client does acknowledge the fact that a payment of $4490 was sent to MZM via 2 separate checks by oneself which also is stated via attachment c1001287_d842.mp3

Client not only participated in all services for over a month, which puts him outside of the 5 business day cancellation window, but also made payments directly to the company despite him stating otherwise.

We understand the clients concerns and views & are still willing to do anything to assist client except give client any more money or issue a refund. Client not only utilized MZMs resources & expertise but also spent countless man hours with our financial coaches during his one-on-one coaching sessions. Client has since contacted the Volusia County Sheriffs department at which we have spoken to & presented all documents & recordings to further state our case & have since been cleared by the Volusia COunty Sheriffs department of any wrong doings.

We hope this response is helpful & insightful. Again we only want to help our clients & despite the circumstances we are still willing to assist John in his quest for financial freedom.

Rene,

We thank you for your business & we look forward to a long lasting relationship!

"You're on the Road to Financial Freedom"

This company has been calling me non-stop! They have changed the number numerous times to read as a local number to intise me to answer. They have called over 45 times today alone! They said they worked with my credit card company which was how they had access to my account. I called *** and this is in fact NOT true. There are laws in place that limit the number of calls a legitimate credit company can make. When I finally answered and asked to speak to a manager and reported the harassment he hung up on me. Beware!
