I have reviewed the account in questionsOur member had been in contact with the Credit Union via email at the beginning of JuneOn June 4th we gave a courtesy refund of the $charge and his account has been removed from OD protectionAccount opening documentation has been reviewed and while he
signed the OD protection form he did not accept or deny the coverageThe coverage went into place when his account was openedOur member received $charges since April of this year for OD protection and the items were paidHowever had he not had OD protection there would have been a $NSF fee for each of these items and they would have been returnedWhat is clearing the account is an ACH transaction and if no funds are available and there is no OD protection then items are send back NSFIn emails from member he just wanted us refuse if he has no funds and not charge his account a fee. If the transactions in question or any going forward are POS transactions that is what will happen, however if they are ACH there will be $charge if funds are not availableThank you
