NAB Auto Sales Reviews (3)

Revdex.com:I have reviewed the offer and/or response made
by the business in reference to complaint ID ***, and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint. For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below. There were no discounts applied to the car at the time of sale as related to the mechanical condition of the car. I originally saw a *** ad during the week of January 4-9, that did not indicate that they were a dealer. There was no language in the *** ad indicating a $dealer processing fee At the time of sale, the dealership did waive the $processing fee, and in negotiations of the price, they did lower the final price to $2650.The car that I purchased was falsely advertised as to the mechanical condition of the vehicle. As seen in the attached Internet advertisement for the car, there are several statements that are untrue.1. The car smelled like smoke, and was smoked in while NAB had the car in their possession. Mr*** smoked in the parking lot while we were talking about the car.2. No service history was provided with the car at the time of purchase The only possible “service history” given was the 12/VA State inspection report where it was indicated that “Signal lights” and “Other lights” were installed.3. The advertisement indicates that the car “passed a MULTI-POINT INSPECTION and reconditioning process before being offered for sale.” Clearly this wasn't a thorough process or they would have caught the aforementioned oil, antifreeze, power steering fluid leaks, corroded battery terminals, and possibly the bad IAC sensor.4. “You will be completely satisfied with its quality.” I am not satisfied with the mechanical condition of the vehicle.5. They claim the interior and exterior is perfect, which it is not. I saw many of the exterior and interior blemishes and while not “perfect” or “unadulterated”, I was amenable at the time of sale. There were several interior dash lights that were not working, making it difficult to control the heating / cooling controls at night. This could not be identified during a day-time test drive.6. They finally claim that the “major mechanical systems under the hood have been inspected and are confirmed to be mechanically sound.” This is clearly not the case.I recognize that I signed the document at the time of sale but NONE of the mechanical defects of this vehicle were disclosed at the time of sale. You can clearly see in the advertisement that the car was misrepresented as to its mechanical condition. To recap, those defects include: Non-fitting radiator cap, and antifreeze refill Oil and antifreeze leak from the engine head Leaking power steering pump Corroded battery terminals IAC sensor replacement (triggered "Check Engine Light")I continue to stand by my request to have a mutually agreeable shop fix the “major mechanical systems under the hood” that have been “inspected and are confirmed to be mechanically sound” at the expense of NAB Auto. I would be open to a discussion of a partial coverage of these losses, but prefer to have them cover them in entirety.Regards,*** ***

Revdex.com spoke with the owner of the businessThe vehicle was discount at the time of purchase when it was sold "as-is"The business is working with the auction house where they got the vehicle regarding the title

Review: I purchased a [redacted] on January 10, 2015. The car was and is (and at the time of this complaint on March 25, 2015 [redacted] listed in mechanically sound condition and that it had been through a multi-point inspection. They listed it as a non-smoking car, which was untrue; the owners of NAB had been driving it and smoking in it.The first major complaint is that they advertised the car for sale for $2700 on [redacted] (not showing that they were a dealer in the ad). Immediately in the negotiations, they started at $3000 to include the $299 processing fee. This was not disclosed in the [redacted] ad.After negotiating price and paying cash for the vehicle, they claimed the title was clear and they had it stored off site. They said they would mail me the title in a few days. After several phone calls and e-mails I finally got it 5 days before the 30 day tags expired. They gave me the first title for the car that was reassigned to multiple [redacted] dealers and NAB Auto, and the [redacted] would not accept it. As of today, March 25, 2015, the title has still not been reassigned to me as a clear VA title.I test drove the vehicle and it performed well. The exterior was in adequate shape for the year, but there were several significant blemishes that were not disclosed in the ad. Within minutes of leaving the lot, the radiator began leaking from the cap. The "check engine" light came on; bad IAC sensor ($300). The battery terminals were so corroded they had to be replaced. The interior dash lights were not fully functional and this was obviously not discovered until I drove the car at night. Also, the engine was leaking coolant from the head and oil from the side. The car also had a blank inspection sticker.NAB Auto has done nothing to resolve any of these issues, or offer to repair. They have reminded me that I bought the car "AS-IS" and refused the warranty. They have been difficult to deal with regarding the title as well.Desired Settlement: It would be great if NAB would reimburse me for the repairs to date, and pay for the oil / coolant leak to be fixed. I am currently driving a leaking vehicle.I also suggested to them that I would like a mutually agreeable shop to fix the engine oil / coolant leak. They never responded to my request to have them cover part or all of the repairs on the "mechanically sound" vehicle they sold me.
