My name is [redacted] the owner of Nails Bar. I am writing this letter in order to respond to the complaint letter submitted to the Revdex.com by [redacted] on...

February 19th, 2014. There are a few things I want to point out:
 
First of all, Ms. [redacted] said that it has been two months and her cut has not healed completely. And that she has contracted a severe fungal infection on her toe. However, normally, if the infection is caused by the cut, after three days to a week the client would have notice the pain and swollenness. She should by then, come to back to the salon to talk to us for a solution. And she waited for two months.
 
Second, in order for the business to keep running, we have to meet certain requirements. And Ms. [redacted] has listed many violations that we certainly did not make like not cleaning equipment between, clients, not cleaning foot sink areas with bleach in between clients, etc. We, as a beauty salon, know for sure that client’s health is the most important thing that helps our business. And if we really did that many violations (which we did not), other clients would have notice that also.
 
Third, on February 18th of 2014, Ms. [redacted] had come back to our salon and she just mentioned about her toe. Now, in the complaint, she wanted us to be responsible for the infections on both sides of her right hand. Shouldn’t she talk to us about this also on that day?
 
Last but not least, since Ms. [redacted] is a Yoga Instructor and has to have her shoes off a lot, in public, there is a possibility that the severe fungal infection on her toe is caused by the bacteria on the floor while she is barefoot, not because of us.

Review: I went to the Nail Bar on 12/20/13. I got a manicure/pedicure for $37. Due to unsanitary conditions at the Nail Bar, I contracted a severe fungal infection on my toe. I also had a cut that the manicurist made that now, after 2 months, has not healed completely. I have spent almost $100 on treatments for the toe. I am a Yoga Instructor and have to have my shoes off alot, in public. I may lose the toenail completely.Yesterday, 2/18/14, I went to the salon and spoke with the owner (??) and showed him the toe and finger cut. HE PRETENDED TO NOT UNDERSTAND ENGLISH ONCE HE REALIZED WHY I WAS THERE!! HE STATED "I CAN FIX, I CAN FIX!!" HE SMILED AT ONE POINT WHEN HE SAW MY FRUSTRATION AND RAGE. I DEMANDED A REFUND AND COMPENSATION FOR MY INFECTION. HE JUST SMILED STUPIDLY AND LAUGHED A LITTLE BIT. I LEFT.HEALTH VIOLATIONS THAT I NOW KNOW THE SALON VIOLATES:NOT CLEANING EQUIPMENT BETWEEN CLIENTSNOT CLEANING FOOT SINK AREAS WITH BLEACH IN BETWEEN CLIENTSNOT EVEN WASHING THEIR HANDS IN BETWEEN CLIENTSUSING UNSANITARY TOWELS, SINKS, POLISH AND ALL PRODUCTS OVER AND OVERI DEMAND MY REFUND OF $37 PLUS $250 FOR THE EXPENSE, EMBARRASSMENT AND POSSIBLE CONTINUED HEALTH RISKS OF BOTH OF THESE MOST SERIOUS, NEEDLESS HEALTH RISKS. [redacted]Desired Settlement: FIRST, A REPORT TO LOCAL HEALTH DEPARTMENTS, WHICH I HAVE ALREADY DONE. JUST WANT Revdex.com TO BACK IT UP.REFUND OF $37 AND $250 FOR PRODUCTS, DAMAGES AND ONGOING HEALTH RISKS AND INFECTIONS THAT MAY CAUSE ME TO LOSE THE BIG TOE TOENAIL OF MY LEFT FOOT. AND FOR THE INFECTIONS ON BOTH SIDES OF MY RIGHT HAND, MIDDLE FINGER.
