Review: I received $150 in gift certificates for Nailworld in February. They state they are good for 1 year after issue. I returned on 7/2/2015 to redeem, and I was informed after my pedicure that they would not accept. There was no signage posted about this. The owner would not take because he is the new owner of Nailworld. My gift certificate is a Nailworld certificate but he refused to take and told me I would have to track down the previous owner for redemption. I paid for my service and left. I think because it is his business he needs to honor gift certificates that has his business's name on them regardless. He is responsible now. Nothing there notified me that he was a new owner or that he would not honor gift certificates.Desired Settlement: I want to use my certificates

---------- Forwarded message ----------From: Liyah Nguyen <[email protected]>Date: Sat, Aug 1, 2015 at 8:31 AMSubject: case ID 10700726To: [email protected] Whom It May Concern:On July 5, 2015, a client, whose name we will not mention came to patron our business at Nail World. We provided the service the client had requested. She went to pay, and had a certificate in the amount of $150.00. We saw that it was from the previous owner that we had bought the business from. We tried to tell the client that we can no longer take the gift certificate because the previous owner no longer redeems them for us once we take them in. She got very upset and we tried dot explain to her as best as we can on how she can get her money back. The previous owner opened a business about an hour from our store. We provided the information to this client so she may get the service there or get her money back. She got very angry and stormed out after paying. She then went to put a very bad review on our Facebook page, and went to tell her family members who did not patronize the business to put bad reviews on our page also. As a business we try our best to accommodate everyone, but since taking this business over, we have had a great amount of loss and expenses due to the previous owner’s gift cards. We hope this resolve any misunderstanding.Best Regards,[redacted]
