Back in 2014, we were doing a whole house remodel, and our decorator suggested Tintas as he had good experience with them in the past, and they were close to us (we are in Sun City West) At the time we were looking and purchased the countertops, we felt that they had a good selection and the prices were competitiveAfterwards, we believe we paid quite a bit more than the competition, but that is on us I guess Much of what they did was good They did a desk top, it looks great One bathroom looks great However, on one bathroom countertop, they obviously took a fairly large chip on a corner, either during fabrication or installation I did not notice this for several months, as this is not a bathroom we use They tried to repair the big chunk, looks like they used some type of adhesive and caulk I was not paying for a damaged vanity top, and they tried to hide it Next, in the kitchen, the island countertop has noticible scratch marks; it has had them since the installation It is not a big deal, and likely not worth a comment, except it speaks to their overall attitude These should have been polished out The seams in the kitchen are also very noticible, especially one by the sink Also in the kitchen, one window sill was to be granite and wrap around the window, They cut they made was way off, at least an inch different from one side to another; in fairness, they did correct after a complaint, but it should never have been allowed to be installed I get the sense from the installers and the ownership that their goal is to simply be "good enough" and to not take great pride in their work Because of that lack of pride, allowing an obviously defective vanity top to be installed, I would never recommend them to anyone else Finally, as to customer service They were supposed to drill an access hole in the desk top granite so that cords could drop down to an outlet In spite of my asking both via email and calls, they refused to do it Now, again in fairness, I have seen numerous granite installations as we do go to a number of Open Houses Although we do see some that are fantastic, many others are like ours...projecting a "that's good enough" approach Perhaps my standards are too high

We redid our kitchen countertops in a bordeaux granite It is gorgeous *** helped us in our selection and was the most excellent to deal with Initially we were hoping to spend less on the granite, but we discovered that the low quoted prices are inferior prefab graniteTintas came, measured, drew the design out and let us come and see where we wanted the most attractive part of the granite to beThis was a great experience and it was exciting to see the full granite slabs, not just a tiny sample The job was done completely without seams which also made us very happy The crew was in and out in one day and the plumber hooked up our new granite sink as well Overall we are very happy and would recommend this company

In one word: HORRIBLE! But, let me explain because it might be hard to fathom.

My wife and I caught the installers attempting to steal two unopened boxes of tile. They placed the tile in the bed of their truck and tried to hide it by covering with a blanket. When confronted, they claimed Tintas asked them to bring it back because we would be short on tile and samples were needed. Yes, two full unopened boxes of tile were being requested as a sample on a Saturday afternoon…before Easter Sunday? Oh btw, I currently have, after the installation has been completed, 19 unopened boxes of tile…so we surely were not going to be short and surely no samples were going to be needed.

At this point, this was my personal property and they had zero permission to remove it from my premise...regardless! When Tintas was confronted on the above, they said these installers were just trying bring back extra tiles and these installers have never had any complaints before in regards to theft. What? The job was not even two-thirds completed, they tried to hide the theft with a blanket, and Tintas minimized this by allowing the excuses of extra tile to be stolen & pointed to their previous theft track record.

Word of warning, if you decide to purchase from and have Tintas perform the installation please watch their workers every second they are in your home. Subsequently and unfortunately, I have found other items missing but I can’t prove who stole them from my premises, but what I do know without a doubt is that those items were stolen while the installation was being performed and the precedence of theft was established by the Tintas installers. Now, I have to go through the legal process to attempt to recover my items and/ or receive reimbursement from my insurance company. Don’t let this happen to YOU!

Regardless and without a doubt, the facts are:
1. Tintas’ installers attempted to steal $127 of MY personal property (value of the two boxes)!
2. When Tintas’ owner was confronted with the theft, he trivialized it by pointing to the installer’s previous track record and had no problem making excuses for their attempted theft of my property!

There were numerous other issues with this service & installation besides the theft; however, Tintas has made fair restitution on them and I think it’s most important to focus on the most egregious...THEFT by the Tintas installers and the follow up excuses by Tintas’ owner!

Bill the owner of Tintas Granite in Surprise AZ, and his staff just finished my up grade in my home. The installed tile floor, hard wood floors, new shower and refaced my kitchen cabinets.
From the start to finish every job was done on time and the friendly and helpful staff
went out of there way to do a clean and perfect job, and Bill checked on them every day. Not just a quality and professional job his prices where more reasonable than any other contractors. I recommend Bill and his staff to every one for a perfect job.
Thank you to all at Tintas Granite for a very excellent job done.

We are sorry to hear that your experience dealing with our company was not a positive one as most customers have. I can assure you that customer satisfaction is our main priority here at Tintas. I understand your frustration when it comes to the color of the pieces we had delivered. This is a common...

issue when dealing with a natural stone that has variation. The smallest bit of variation in stone can cause this issue you have experienced, especially when these pieces must be seamed together. We will certainly take this positive criticism into consideration and try to explain this to our customer’s so we can avoid such issues in the future. Now, out of the slab provided by the customer, there was just enough material to do the counter top. These were details discussed with and agreed upon by the customer. With that being stated, we apologize for any inconvenience or confusion there may have been while working with us. We have contacted the customer and resolved this issue by providing a refund for the desired amount along with the counter top pieces which we delivered to their home. We hope that we have ensured the customers satisfaction with our timely response and resolution of the issue they have expressed.

Back in 2014, we were doing a whole house remodel, and our decorator suggested Tintas as he had good experience with them in the past, and they were close to us (we are in Sun City West). At the time we were looking and purchased the countertops, we felt that they had a good selection and the prices were competitive. Afterwards, we believe we paid quite a bit more than the competition, but that is on us I guess.

Much of what they did was good. They did a desk top, it looks great. One bathroom looks great. However, on one bathroom countertop, they obviously took a fairly large chip on a corner, either during fabrication or installation. I did not notice this for several months, as this is not a bathroom we use. They tried to repair the big chunk, looks like they used some type of adhesive and caulk. I was not paying for a damaged vanity top, and they tried to hide it.

Next, in the kitchen, the island countertop has noticible scratch marks; it has had them since the installation. It is not a big deal, and likely not worth a comment, except it speaks to their overall attitude. These should have been polished out. . The seams in the kitchen are also very noticible, especially one by the sink.

Also in the kitchen, one window sill was to be granite and wrap around the window, They cut they made was way off, at least an inch different from one side to another; in fairness, they did correct after a complaint, but it should never have been allowed to be installed.

I get the sense from the installers and the ownership that their goal is to simply be "good enough" and to not take great pride in their work.

Because of that lack of pride, allowing an obviously defective vanity top to be installed, I would never recommend them to anyone else.

Finally, as to customer service.... They were supposed to drill an access hole in the desk top granite so that cords could drop down to an outlet. In spite of my asking both via email and calls, they refused to do it.

Now, again in fairness, I have seen numerous granite installations as we do go to a number of Open Houses. Although we do see some that are fantastic, many others are like ours...projecting a "that's good enough" approach. Perhaps my standards are too high.
