Ms. T[redacted] has stated that they made an offer, which they did not.  That is an absolute falsehood, and very deceptive indeed.  However, if that offer were extended it would not change things, and also would have zero to do with this complaint.  I will never bring my children back to this facility- not only because of this specific incident, but because I do not believe that children are well cared for there.   But again, this complaint is not about the quality of care they provide, as that is better directed to a different agency.  This complaint is SOLELY based on the fact that serv[redacted]s were paid for, and refused.  Thus this is actually NOT A REFUND.  A refund, as the word would specifically indicate, would imply that we received serv[redacted]s and were unhappy with them, thus wanting a refund. In all actuality, SERV[redacted]S WERE REFUSED.   I'm sure Ms. T[redacted] understands the difference between a refund and theft.I am not satisfied with this response and will continue until we receive money paid for serv[redacted]s not rendered.  ~Dr. [redacted]

This was an unfortunate situation. We explained to the parent that she was only subsidized for 2 days per month not two days per week as she thought. I cannot verify that someone told her her bill was at a zero balance, [redacted] is the one who notified her that her [redacted] only covered 2 days. I also...

called her explained what happened asked her to call her worker immediately and see if she could get it fixed. It appeared to be a mistake but until [redacted] made the correction she would be responsible for the payment. I explained I would work with her regardless of the outcome with [redacted]. She called [redacted] and they indeed fixed it for her. They gave her 6 more days that month which for the most part balanced out. They did make her accountable for some of the days. The good news is that her bill is no longer $700. What is most key to this issue is SHE the mom should have known how [redacted] approved her six children. It is not fair for her to say it is all on us and she does not hold any responsibility.

I love this place. Children love Nana's Place.

Ms. [redacted] stated: “all my son wants is an infant table out the infant room, I cannot believe you guys are not accommodating”. Not understanding what she was talking about I did ask her was she saying a reasonable accommodation would be rearranging the furniture. She replied “that’s not...

furniture that’s a fking toy. I explained I was not there so in order for me to understand I needed her to calm down and explain what happened. She said she does not have to stay calmLater I watched cameras. It was then that I learned she did not mean a wood table but a plastic activity table. He was not refused serv[redacted]s. I heard staff tell her: “at the moment he is not ready for his day let him calm down and bring him back.” Mom said she understood that we are not equipped to handle him for the future but today he needs to stay for 2 hours, her daughter had an ortho app. in 30 min. Mom says “if he cannot stay I am pulling out my other son.” While mom talked to off[redacted] staff Mica was in the classroom. He is seen walking back and forth pointing to the infant room door; he attempts to take a parent by the hand, points to the infant room door. A child gives him his toy but Mica throws it
According to his IEP, when he is frustrated or does not get his way he will scream, hit, and or bite teachers, staff and students. He was screaming and he bit mom. The staff was right in asking mom to have him calm down and bring him back. It is the centers responsibility to keep all children safe. We are not a self-contained setting therefore we do not have all the provision as that of a self-contained classroom or school. We do not mix toys. Infant room toys and furniture are sanitized and maintained differently than the other rooms; outside shoes are not allowed on the carpets, etc
We have a no refund policy and we offered to make the remaining funds as a credit toward future use in order to accommodate her as we were attempting to rebuild the relationship.

I can’t say enough good things about Nana’s Pre-school. I had 2 very active, rambunctious boys enrolled there and the staff handled them incredibly well. So much so, I wished I could have brought a couple of the teachers home with me to help there. Being a single mother of 4 children, I sometimes have to dig very deep to find more patience but the team at Nana’s always seemed to have plenty.

I didn’t expect a lot from a pre-school in the way of emotional or educational development but I was very surprised by how much my boys grew from being there. They were there for 2 years and I would highly recommend Nana’s to anyone that’s looking for a pre-school that takes extra steps to make children feel welcomed and loved.

Actually a friend of mine enrolled her son there and had the same amazing experience.

My boys actually looked forward to going there every morning and sometimes woke up on weekends disappointed and a little confused as to why they weren’t going to school.

I have had a good experience with NANA'S Place Preschool. The teachers and directors love their students, they work hard to have children learn. They take children from diverse backgrounds ie special needs children of varying degrees.

Review: My children began to attend this establishment on May 10, 2014 through the [redacted] program which is ran by the [redacted]. We were originally told by a caseworker for [redacted] by the name of [redacted] Client# [redacted] that we would in fact be covered for childcare two times a week both Saturday and Sunday as of May 5th, 2014 because we needed weekend childcare. Everything seemed to be fine we were repeatedly told our balance was at a zero balance up until June 13th, 2014. I received a phone call from [redacted] who stated that she was a director of the establishment and she stated that I had an outstanding balance because [redacted] apparently only covered the children for two days for the month of May 2014, and I asked why wasn't I informed that I was not being covered for the childcare and [redacted] simply stated because our computers weren't updated so they didn't know until then and that they could make a payment arrangement and I was taken back by that and stated that I'd have to get in touch with the [redacted] office as they shouldve notified me or Nanas should have received the information way before June 13th stating that we weren't covered. I contacted [redacted] promptly and she corrected the issue where we would now have two days a week and that she was sorry for the confusion on her part and that she still had my old information regarding my old place of employement and that she had not yet updated the information [redacted]pite me telling her of the new job hours before I even started the job and now due to their "systems not updating" and [redacted] not communicating with them in the appropriate manner they now say that Im stuck with a 700$ bill that in no way I can afford, nor do I believe that it is my fault that a lack of communication or their computers not working properly until a month later that I am now responsible for this fee. I have been in constant contact with both Nanas Daycare as well as [redacted] who stated that she would only back date the charges only until the 11th of June when she finally decided to update my case and due to her negligence we are now being billed we are still waiting to hear back from the Executive Director by the name of Mrs.[redacted] regarding the issues at hand.Desired Settlement: I would like them to correct and work out the situation as the executive director had blatantly stated that the issue was [redacted]. fault as they also told us that [redacted] is notorious for causing confusion and having incidents like this to happen to their customers. We just don't see or understand how a mis-communication between the two of those companies is now our fault and our responsibility when [redacted] should have notified them and they should have notified us promptly, their computers not "updating" is not our fault we do not work for either company and have no control over their computers or communication between the two we are barely surviving and barely pay to keep a home over our children head yet alone pay 700 for childcare for a result that is no fault of our own.

My name is [redacted], my son is enrolled in Nana's day care 24/7 in Phoenix Az. For the past three weeks my son [redacted] has came home with multiple deep bite marks. These are so deep you could visually see how many teeth this or these children have. Complained to the person in charge of the one year old children and I haven only received 1 incident report. I am very upset ! there is only supposed to be 6 to 1 ratio, and many times I've seen at-least 9 to 1 ratio. My son has came home with 3 deep bite marks and another time scratches on his left arm. The bite mark most recent was on his face by his mouth and one on his back then another on his right arm. Clearly this is a serious problem the teachers are obviously over whelmed and are not qualified to do their job properly. They even had the nerve to say it was my sons fault after I had told them, that my son has been coming home harmed. If action is not taken I will have to press charges deemed fit by the law. I hope this daycare /pre-school is investigated and looked into. If not I will have to take this to court and I will sue the company. I have photos of my sons last recent bite. Im disgusted that this has taken place.
