I received a call from a woman to register her 2/and a half year old daughter for dance I explained to her that 2/and a half year old sometimes do great ..but ..sometimes they don’t and need to wait till January or even the following September to start dance ..but .we could try her daughter to see how she does The mother & daughter came to the first class at the end of September, (the week dance classes for the school year resume is in September) I explained to the mother that her daughter was the only one, ‘SO FAR’, that had signed up for this class, the mother could SEE this because there were no other children in the studio, but also explaining to her as the next month goes by there should be other girls/boys who will also sign up for this class Her little girl took her first dance class and at ‘THE END’ of the class I said that a payment of $would take her through this class & through the month of October The mother said ‘fine’ and paid the $ I NEVER ask for PAYMENT BEFORE CLASS & I have NEVER DENIED a child access to dance even if there is money owed, as everyone that has danced with me knows The next week the child never came to class Later I received a call from the little girl’s father saying that he thought his daughter was too young and maybe they would start up again at a later date Then he asked if he could have his $returned I said to him “I will return $to you because your daughter took her first class and I think that is ‘ONLY FAIR.’” He didn’t agree with me and wanted the $returned but I said that I wanted to be fair with him and had ‘NO PROBLEM’ returning the $ .but ..I want you to be fair with me also and you should pay for the first class that your daughter had ..after a bit more conversation he finally agreed I told him I would send him a check in the amount of $..but ..he said he would stop by the studio to pick up the check after work I believe he told me he worked in (like)Worcester I had no problem with him picking the check up at the studio .but .being a dance studio my hours are crazy, and although I have classes days a week, it’s mostly when children are OUT OF SCHOOL for the day and all day Saturday I told him I was at the studio late on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, till 10p.m./11p.m., and he said he would come down AFTER work He NEVER showed that Tuesday or Wednesday, so I sent the check for $to his home, then I received a letter from The Revdex.com on Saturday I would also like to say I have been in business in downtown Natick for years and I have NEVER received a complaint from the Revdex.com, actually I have been asked numerous times to join this organization, and I would have liked too, ..but being a small business I declined because of the annual dues I guess I was not FAST ENOUGH sending him $ In MOST businesses he would NOT have received the refund until the next month
