[A default letter is provided here which indicates your acceptance of the business's response If you wish, you may update it before sending it.] Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find this resolution is satisfactory to me I have received a full refund of $from [redacted] , and consider this matter resolved Regards, [redacted] ***

We had the house built the summer of and moved in SeptemberThe first winter was really bad, the doors warped badly allowing snow and rain to enter the houseWe contacted golden windows and doors and they sent a service guy that agreed the doors at all three exists were badly warped, so he tried to fix it with thicker weather stripping and this did not work so he placed a order to replaced the doorsSpring of they came to replace the doors and the next winter it was the same thing all over again, a service guy comes and puts in different weather stripping and again didn't workGolden windows and doors then sent a rep who told the builder and I that one quarter inch is acceptable and the doors will eventually level out, but it didn't so with no choice I took it up on my self to control the amount of snow and rain from entering the houseWinter of a seal went in one of my widows, called golden windows and doors and it costed me one hundred dollars to have the seals fixedSpring of another seal goes this time a bigger window and anther dollarsGolden windows and doors say the windows are warranted for twenty years and we are paying for the service calls

I have been a customer of Goettle Good Guys AC for probably 5+ years and have generally been satisfied until this past year Just a few days ago, they came out for my annual ac maintenance and the guy ended up telling my husband and I that we had a bunch of electrical wires that needed replacement with a total up to $I was shocked considering we bought the house in September which the AC passed inspections then and there were no issues noted when they came in Nov or Dec for the annual heat inspectionsWe said we would go through our AHS home warranty to which he told us none of it would be covered! WRONG! Through the AHS warranty, a different company came out and did their own inspection with only a few repairs needed, which WERE covered...total cost $75.00....NOT $ He was trying to scam us which I really find unprofessional and downright dirty!!!! Another issue I discovered was with the Sunny Plumber portion of my contract with Goettlyears before when I owned a different house, I put in a water filtration system which Goettl took over the care when I signed up with them Over those past years, the halo canisters busted under pressure not once, not twice not even three times but FOUR times therefore spraying water all over the garage and in one case, so bad it flooded into the house because we weren't there to noticeEach time a Goettl guy would come out and inspect and repair with no cause foundThe pressure meter inside would be in the red but outside would be okay so they would always say it was a faulty gauge but never changed it out Come to find out....after years, right in the middle of selling the house and the 4th time of it busting a repair man FINALLY realized the cause was because a regulator was on the wrong pipe and was controlling the pressure from the system to the house but not from the waterline to the system like it should have been YEARS AGO! Through all that time, I had to pay service fees and water damage costs and even money to add an expansion pack to the hot water heater to fix the problem when the whole time it was incompetenceIt was not Goettl who installed it but they should have been able to find the problem YEARS AGO!!! As soon as my contract is up, I am switching!!!!! If it was once good, it is not a good company now!!!!! 03/17/

The complainants are not clients of Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning. As you may know, Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning began its operations after having purchased the assets of Goettl Air Conditioning from ARS in December, Goettl Good Guys agreed to service ARS-Goettl inforce warrantiesWe have never been called upon to perform any services, warranty or otherwise for the [redacted] since our foundingI have contacted ARS this week and they confirm that they have not been contacted by the [redacted] regarding warranty services or any other services since eitherIn our research regarding [redacted] installation, we have found the following, which they may find informative.· The ARS-Goettl records as well as the Goettl Good Guys records confirm that neither company was involved in diagnosing and condemning the “burnt out” refrigerant coil or charging for its replacement.· At the time of the sale in June of 2009, ARS included in the purchase, a year parts and year labor warranty on the A/C unit through ***; it expires in (see attached warranty certificate)· Any Arizona licensed A/C contractor in good standing can provide warranty services and claim warranty reimbursement from ***; it takes approximately minute for them to look up the warranty coverage, online· ARS-Goettl, or Goettl Good Guys should have been called upon at the time if there was a “mess” regarding the installationAny reputable contractor would have advised that, on a unit still under warranty, or in thealternative pursued the warranty themselves on behalf of their client· The ARS records reflect that ARS-Goettl returned in December and re-glued some insulation to the blower door, under warrantyARS also performed a maintenance visit inspection and tune up of the system for the [redacted] in April and reported that the system was operating according to specifications at that time · Warranty claims must be submitted at the time of the repairGiven that ARS –Goettl had provided warranty services for the [redacted] in 2009, it seems strange they did not call on ARS-Goettl or Goettl Good Guys???Something just does not seem right about the coil failure story their contractor gave the Nicholson’sI have been in the HVAC business for over thirty years including as a manufacturer of thousands of refrigerant coils and have never seen a “burnt out” refrigerant coilThe melting temperature of copper tube is over degrees FahrenheitIt is not possible to even come close to that temperature in a heat pump system no matter what the “mess” was alleged to be I could not make the system “burn out” the refrigerant coil if I triedEven if it were physically possible, the temperature and pressure limit controls built into the unit by the manufacturer and certified by UL safety compliance testing will not permit the system to reach anywhere close to a level that would “burn out” the refrigerant coilThe refrigerant coil may have failed, but if it did, it most likely would have been covered under the manufacturer’s warrantyAll manufacturers occasionally have coil failures due to a variety of causes including formicary corrosion (see attached article) which all manufacturers were experiencing during this time periodWhen diagnosed correctly, the manufacturers (including ***) were very responsive in warrantying claims involving coil issues when the coil is made available for their inspectionManufacturers give the benefit of the doubt on warranty claims based on their trust and confidence in the contractor who makes the diagnosis and claim on behalf of the clientIt begs the question then; did the [redacted] contractor make a warranty claim on this part which had parts and labor warranty policies and were they declined by ***? In summary:· Neither Goettl Good Guys nor ARS-Goettl have been called upon by the [redacted] to do anything at all prior to their filing a Revdex.com complaint; how does that work???· We were not given the opportunity to diagnose, or investigate any issues they have been told existed with their system; · We were not given the opportunity to inspect the “burnt out” coil to see what the real issues may have been if any, or if it failed under warranty.· We were not given the opportunity to investigate other causes of their issues that may have been covered under their year parts and year labor warranty; · We have no idea who else may have worked on their system, or whether they have had their annual maintenance check-ups over the past three yearsApparently they paid someone else whatever they wanted to charge them (at retail), which we were not a party to, and they are now asking us to send money! The [redacted] know or should know that thisis a bogus complaint, re: their final commentSincerely, [redacted] ***

Mr [redacted] is misinformed regarding our repair to his system The pictures (attached) taken at the time show that the capacitor installed on the unit was a 30+capacitor 12pt;">Our service check list (see attached) calls for measuring the amperage draw on the compressorOur technician found that the unit was drawing too much currentThe capacitor appeared to be in good shape, so our technician sent the attached pictures via his smart phone to our Service Manager for consultationThe contractor providing the alternative opinion is mistakenThe system could and did run with the incorrect capacitor The pictures were texted to our service manager to check the parts list to verify what capacitor belonged on this his modelThe manufacturer called for an 80+capacitorWith Mr***’s approval, our technician replaced the incorrect capacitor with the part called out by the manufacturerWe are happy to discuss with the other contractor why their representative’s assumption that Mr***’s system could not run with an under sized capacitor, was faulty The quick answer is because the unit had a “hard start kit” installed on it and that provided enough additional capacitance to enable the system to run; but not to perform to specificationsI regret that our team was not able to respond as quickly as Mr [redacted] wishedAlthough we understand that Mr [redacted] felt his concern was urgent, we do investigate each concern, locate the documents (and in this case photos,) so we provide an accurate response and use it as a learning experience if we have erredAt this time of year, we give priority to clients that actually have no cooling Mr***’s demand and threat to disparage this company is unfair and unwarranted, however, we will refund the entire $he paid I have also complemented our technician for following our process, asking for help when he needed to, and for most likely preventing Mr [redacted] from a costly failure in the future

Marie Garcia August19, 2015Revdex.com of ArizonaComplaint ID # [redacted] Dear MarieI am sorry that Mr [redacted] still has concerns regarding his AC unit The manufacturer has been very responsive in working with us to confirm the operation of his unit, and we have been diligent in responding to his concerns and calls for warranty service I believe it might be helpful to provide some background regarding the concerns stated in his most recent correspondence· [redacted] / [redacted] (and now owned by [redacted] ) is the largest manufacturer of residential AC equipment sold in the United States · [redacted] is an accredited member and has an A+ Revdex.com rating.· [redacted] is a long time member and has been continuously in good standing with AHRI which is sanctioned by the [redacted] [redacted] to randomly test and certify the performance of all Residential AC equipment sold in the USTheir certifications are equal to every other major AC manufacturer, including ***, [redacted] , ***, [redacted] , etc· [redacted] was founded in and continues to be located in Texas, a similar climate to Arizona; I know they do not consider themselves an outfit from back east.· Goettl is an authorized dealer for every major AC equipment manufacturer in the US; the two AC units I had installed on my own home several years ago were manufactured by [redacted] (understand that I know and could have chosen AC units from any AC equipment manufacturer for my home.) Oneof the very important reasons I personally chose the [redacted] manufactured product for my own home was the way they honor warranties and the number of distribution points and the availability of repair parts they have in the valley· Goettl Air Conditioning announced the closing of its manufacturing operations to the media in the spring of and that was big news in Arizona at the time (see article attached); there were no AC units manufactured by Goettl to be installed for anyone in 2009.· Labeling/branding is old news (see attached summary regarding this.) Companies want to promote their own brandThere are several common ways of doing this:1) The seller’s Trade name is listed for the product as a “manufactured for” and the actual manufacturer of the equipment is not shown on the product, likeWalgreen’s aspirins)2) The seller’s Tradename label is placed on the product, but the products rating plate shows who actually manufactured the productThis is the circumstancewith Mr [redacted] unit The identity of the actual manufacturer has always been on his unit.Because of Mr [redacted] long time loyalty to the Goettl Brand I would like to do something extra to reassure Mr [redacted] Goettl offers to extend boththe parts and labor warranty on his unit an additional four years to 6/08/under the same warranty terms and conditions as his existing coverage at nocharge for the warranty extension If this will resolve his concerns, I will send Mr [redacted] documents confirming this additional warranty coverage Thank you for your assistance in this matter[redacted] ***, Chairman

I never thought I would be taking the time to write a positive review for an air conditioning company My air conditioning started blowing warm air and it was the first degree day of the year My son is and has special needs and it was hot I called Goettl as I knew they have been in business in AZ for a very long time From the moment I made the call I timed hours for someone to arrive at my house, diagnose and fix the problem Needless to say my family and I were thrilled I would certainly recommend them to my friends and family

Six years ago, we had a new heat pump installed on our house by Goettll We chose a [redacted] heat pump which came with a year parts and labor warrantyI did research on line and from the information I found, [redacted] seemed to produce a quality productI have a health condition, MS, which makes me extremely sensitive to heat so having a dependable, functioning heat pump is not a luxury for me, it's a necessity, especially with the extreme heat a Phoenix summer bringsGoettl was aware of my health problem and they always got a technician out to me the same day I reported a problemOnce, when it took a couple of days to get a needed part, they brought out a free standing portable unit which did an adequate job of cooling a couple of roomsDuring the first two years, the heat pump was blowing a lot of capacitorsLiving in Phoenix AZ, with the extreme heat we get, it's not unusual for a heat pump to go through more capacitors than it would in other parts of the country but this particular unit seemed to be going through more than was usualThe problem was finally diagnosed as a faulty compressor which was replaced under the warrantyTwo years later, the unit developed a leak in the coil and that had to be replaced, again under the original warrantyFast forward another two years when the fan had to be replaced, then it needed another compressorThis year, I had a Goettl technician come out to do a check up on the unit to try to make it through this summer without any problemsIt checked out finedays later the condenser fan motor failed and needed to be replaced, then, days later, the reversal valve failed and had to be replacedAll in all, in the first years, this unit needed service calls, not counting the routine maintenance callsThe only company that touched this unit since it's installation was Goettl so, I decided to see if I could get in touch with the CEO of Goettl, [redacted] ***I was put right through to Mr [redacted] and when I explained the maintenance issues I had had with this unit, he said he would look into it and call me backApprox hours later, [redacted] ***, Goettl's Director of operations called me and asked if he could bring out a [redacted] Factory Repand a technician to look at the unitEverybody at Goettl agreed that the unit broke down excessivelyBeing somewhat cynical about corporations, I fully expected to hear that all they would do was honor the warranty and repair the machine when needed and, Goettl had always repaired the unit in a timely manner so, while it wasn't the outcome I wanted, it was the outcome I expectedthe following Monday, right on time, Mr***, a [redacted] factory Rep, and a Goettl technician arrived at my house, looked at the repair invoices I had, listened to my experience, and frustration with the unit, and went up on the roof to check the unit outThey came down, and basically surprised the hell out of me by saying that the heat pump I had was a lemon and told me they were going to replace it at no chargeThree days later, I had a new heat pump on my houseI don't fault [redacted] for this because any company can, and does turn out a lemon once in awhile and when [redacted] found out about my issues, they stood behind their product and did, in my opinion, the right thingI wish I had talked to Mr [redacted] earlierIn my opinion, Mr.***, Mr [redacted] and Goettl have earned their title of "Good Guys" This is not the Same Goettl that got all the bad press a few years agoMr [redacted] has definitely turned this company around to the point I would recommend them to anybody

Revdex.com of Central Arizona Re: Complaint #: [redacted] and [redacted] Goettl Good Guys Air Conditioning began its operations on 12/1/having acquired selected assets of Goettl Air Conditioning from American Residential Services Goettl Good Guys did not install the unit at the [redacted] residence Goettl Good Guys did agree to service any [redacted] in force warranties This system has had a number of intermittent issues that Goettl has responded to including replacing capacitors, a motor and a control board under warrantyThe company also replaced a thermostat that was not faulty as an accommodation to the customer and has provided tune-ups; quality assurance inspections, and a plumbing inspection all at no charge to the customer Again Goettl Good Guys did not install this system and has always been responsive to calls for service since the summer of On the morning of 6/25/14, Our Service Manger had a discussion with the client regarding intermittent issues with the operation of the A/C unit The manager committed to dispatch a service tech as soon as possible that same day to diagnose the issues and find a resolution (the technician arrived early that afternoon) The Service Manager explained to Mr [redacted] that the protocol for replacing a unit under the manufacturer’s warranty requires that the manufacturer be contacted, have the opportunity to participate in the evaluation and testing, and concur with the replacement action Goettl contacted the manufacturer’s local technical staff as well as their factory technical support in [redacted] that day for consultation in the testing and troubleshooting but both were not able to determine the specific problem and subsequently agreed to Goettl’s recommendation to replace the approximately four year old outdoor unit under the manufacturer’s warranty The new unit was installed late that same day Mr [redacted] was informed as the troubleshooting progressed and was aware that the unit replacement had been approved by the manufacturer when he filed his Revdex.com complaint The replacement was completed late that dayWe do understand Mrand Mrs***’s frustrations and regret that neither our technicians nor the factory engineering staff could isolate the problem Our team persevered and represented his interests with the manufacturer on this system we did not installI do not believe his Revdex.com complaint is warranted given that he knew the resolution he sought was already agreed to and in work when he filed his complaint with the Revdex.com Sincerely, [redacted] ***
