This was a job well doneMy wife and I couldn't be happier with the stamped concrete patio we now have The work was done quickly and efficiently ***, the owner, made multiple excellent suggestions for our patio, is extremely knowledgeable and easy to work withI would definitely recommend Maryland Curbscape to others
Approximately two years ago, we had our front steps and sidewalk replaced and a free-form, stamped patio put in by Maryland CurbscapeMy husband and I remain convinced that the problems we have had since that time stem from the concrete being poured during rain
Regardless of the cause, we remain displeased with the result and have not been able to have Paul repair the work to our satisfaction
The patio became chipped the first season which has become worse in the second year since the installationIn areas, the grey stained, imprinted patio has divots which reveal the underlying tan concrete and pebblesNot pretty
Additionally, because he wasn't present to supervise the work and the worker did not speak/understand English, one of his workers cut out a substantial part of a tree root which a tree professional said probably reduced the tree's life by ten yearsThis was after lengthy reminders about the importance of leaving the tree and roots undisturbed
Additionally, we continue to have problems with the front sidewalk as wellSame sort of problem but not as obvious because the concrete in the front was not stained
Paul did come out once and "top coated" a portion of the sidewalk in the frontIt still looks rough, discolored and uneven and flakes easily
Paul claims that we put chemicals on the walk to melt snow and ice the first year which caused the problemHowever, it simply isn't trueHe didn't offer an explanation for the backyard patio
Anyway, he / the company does not stand behind their work which, obviously, wasn't good to begin withI've given up trying to get him to rectify the problem
Anybody know a good contractor to repair concrete? Let me know
