Our home warranty company scheduled Nanez Electric Llc as the contractor to provide service for electrical problem we were experiencing One of Nanez Electric Technician showed up for scheduled appointment, checked the light in question The technician removed the sensor light from the back porch, removed the wiring while trying to locate the problem He traced the wiring and said that wire connection was loose He rewired the light fixture and replaced all the outlet covers he had previously removed He left screws off the covers when he replaced them, he added different color screws to the covers because he lost the original screws, some screws were not screwed in completely and finally the covers were placed back incorrectly Next item we were having trouble with was the breaker in our bedroom kept shutting off The technician again removed covers, which he put back and replaced with different color screws again because he lost the original ones Checked the breaker box panel and said loose connection and that we needed a amp breaker instead of amp He replaced the breaker and said everything was ok
The next morning when we turned the outside light on (the one technician had rewired), the power disconnected I turned breaker back on and did not turn outside light on again until later that day and again the power went off We called a different electrician, a master electrician to come out to check the problem(We did contact Nanez Electric because of all the issues we saw wrong made by the technician and they were not going to send a master electrician.) Right away the master electrician noticed black burns outside the light assembly The electrician turned the outside light switch on and sparks shot out from the light assembly He took light assembly off and noticed that the technician had rewired the senor light incorrectly which was causing the sparks He said we were lucky house did not catch fire He also noticed that the amp breaker that was installed was not the correct brand and said that would have to be replaced
Overall, we had an awful experience with Nanez Electric, would not recommend them to anybody I did inform the warranty company that this type of contractor was not acceptable and they should monitor the contractors they use I will be cancelling my contract with American Home Shield since we have had to use them twice and both times not happy with contractors they have sent One of the contractors they had contact us had bad ratings with Revdex.com and I had to call AHS to reschedule with another contractor Since it seems the warranty company does not check the work of the contractors they send we will get our own contractors Also when we call the home warranty company, hold time is over minutes
