The complaint by this person, [redacted], is not only untruthful but the patient was told that if she would stop harassing our office and calling us that we would drop the $40 fee. The fee was dropped from her bill. However, the patient agreed in return to leave the practice alone. She said that...

she would no longer make rude remarks about my practice or make derogatory comments to anyone else.  She has again shown that she has no credibility. Not only has she decided to go against the agreement that she made in order for us to drop her $40 no-show fee, she has gone above and beyond and  submitted a letter of complaint to you.
This person scheduled an appointment and refused to listen to our conversations with her in confirming her appointment. She was made aware of a $40 no-show fee if she did not arrive on time for her appointment. She was 13 minutes late for her appointment. She was offered a rescheduling time, however decided against it. The patient is making up all kinds of stories about what she remembers. However, we have a very clear documentation of all the phone calls that were made to her and all the conversations we had with her. Her recollection of the events is very in accurate! She's only giving the pieces of what she wants to remember.
As a business, we must make patient's arrive on time for their appointment. If they do not arrive on time, then they make other patients wait instead. This is a very strict policy to keep the clinic running promptly. Just because the patient feels that she is more important than other people, does not mean that she does not have to follow the rules. The rules are in place to make the practice fair for everyone.
This person had never even met anyone in our office. She was asking for an exception to the rules without even knowing our practice. She showed absolutely no good faith. She is requesting that we show good faith by ignoring our rules for her alone. She's been requesting that we don't follow our policies for her alone. We did agree to waive her $40 no-show fee if she would stop calling our office and stop bothering us. As you can see by her complaint to the Revdex.com, she has not kept up her end of the bargain. She continues to make complaints about us. I will now be reinstating her $40 fee.

Review: New patient, scheduled appt. Was called numerous times to remind me of appt.Said yes,but busywith clients, can't talk, will be there. Calls on 15th and 16th of July, was again busy, yes would be there. On 16th,was in surgery with pet, had to hang up,will be there. On 17th at 7:57am called to say still with pet, life or death situation could reschedule or would be few minutes late. They said would be charge 40.00. No exceptions. Very cold, not understanding of severe circumstances.I said I would be there, didn't want charged. Appt was for 9:15.At 9:17got call from office.I was on phone getting directions. Called them back at 9:17 advised in parkinglot, trying to find their office. They said had to reschedule and pay fee40.00.I said I would come up I am only 4 minutes late. Was three minutes later was in their office lobby. They said too late, pay 40.00 Ibegged them to be reasonable and under circumstances not charge me. At this point was 10 minutes late.5 minutes later still talking with the administration clerks, they said I was now 15 minutes late, had to pay 40.--.Never once was there any human compassion, was rude, cruel. I was distress but appropriate, begging them to reconsider. I was only 7 minutes late when I entered their office and can prove this with my cell phone records. They were unyielding, cold and steadfast to their demands. I left quietly and called the United Health Care medicare workers to file a complaint. I have never been so humiliated, and this could have been avoided. Under the circumstances and based on the minutes late, could have been handled differently, maintaining dignity and the relationship. I do not feel I should have to pay the late fee and want resolution. Thank you. [redacted] o late bDesired Settlement: I do not want to be charged the 40.00 or sent to collections. They were unyielding, cruel and inappropriate to subject me to such behavior under the circumstances. Circumstances withstanding, I was not 15 minutes late. They called me one minute after the appointment time to tell me I was being charged 40.00 and had to reschedule for being late or no show. Even after I told them I was in parking lot and still was in their lobby 7 minutes late,Very wrong behavior for any business, esp. a doctor.
