Nano CIC Rechargeables are Junk!
FORGET NANO!

My wife has been on me for years to get hearing aids. Since I was a child I have seen countless ENT specialists and hundreds of hearing tests all resulting in “profound hearing loss.” I’m fine if I can lip-read, or if someone is facing me, but otherwise it may be difficult.

In SEP 2022 I purchased the Nano CIC rechargeable aids. I was rather impressed...for about a week. I went to remove the right-side aid using their plastic ‘string’ and the entire top of the aid came off and would not snap back on. It is now useless.

I wrote to Nano who sent me a return envelope which they acknowledged receiving near the end of September, however no communication from the folks at Nano at all.

I called Nano and they acknowledged receipt of my faulty hearing aids and gave me a separate phone number for their Returns Department. “Just send them an email explaining your situation, which I had already done and enclosed in the returned package.

After four, or so, emails back and forth they are claiming that I damaged the hearing aid. Removing the aid from my ear for the 50th time, I found them easy to remove until the red top cover came off along with the string.

Net/net, they want me to pay about $80 for the repair and sending it back to me when I clearly stated that if anything I purchase breaks in a week, I want a complete refund as stated on your website. They continue to say that I caused the damage! Removing, as per instructions, the aid from my ear?!

Forget about the “As a manufacturer’s warranty, this means that you will be fully covered for any manufacturing or design faults which impact negatively on your experience. This is a guarantee, however, we’re confident that you won’t need to call for hearing aid repairs providing you use your hearing aids carefully.”

Probably my fault for buying something cheap and expecting something that would last longer than a week.

I purchased some hearing aids in September, 2019 for my husband.
The type of hearing aid was difficult for my husband to wear due
to neuropathy. We got an okay to send them back. The company
received them on Oct.12, 2019.
I waited for over a month to see the refund on my credit card, when
I didn't see it, I called and talked to customer service. They said
they could not put it back on my card because it was past 60 days,
even tho they had recieved them back within 44 days of purchase.
By now it is the middle of December. They said they would send the
refund by direct deposit. So I gave them the info they needed and
was told that would take 30 to 45 days!
During this time my husband was going thru cancer treatment and
surgery. So I waited for 45 days and still didn't see it in my
account. Now it is after the first of March. When I called they
checked and said there had been a problem with direct deposit,
but never bothered to call me and tell me about the problem.
Now I was asked if they could send me a paper check, I said sure
whatever. Was told that would be at least 10 business days for me
to get. After waiting from early March til the end of March, I
still didn't get the check.
Next email they told me about a program where I would be sent
a link and clicking on that and giving me info, they would release
the $297 to me. The link never worked!
Next email I was told they were sorry about the delay but informed
me the refund department had the info and would be sending it soon.
Then it is June 1 and I am told to please be patient and that had
escalated my claim to the Refunds Manager. Here we are on June 28,
4 weeks later and I still have not recieved my $297 refund.
After contacting them numerous times,
both on the phone and by email, for the last eight months,
I have still not received my refund of $297. All I ever receive are
excuses and lies about sending me my refund.

I returned the hearing aids (Per companies specific conditions). Was told by company the return would be refunded within 30 days. It has now been 4 months. Every time I send an email, they reply asking for more time.
As of today, June 15, 2020 no refund has been issued.
