Complaint[redacted]Nanotech Electronic Solutions advertises repair of a damaged cellphone "back to its original condition!"Nanotech replaced my original [redacted] cracked screen with a lower quality third party screen. An original or OEM screen uses [redacted]. I am not sure whether the replacement is even glass, or merely plastic. [redacted]When I told them that I was not satisfied with the low quality replacement, they offered to remove the new screen, replace my original cracked screen, and refund my money fully. I agreed and returned one hour later to find that nothing had been done. I spoke with another employee who insisted that there was nothing wrong with the replacement screen and that he would not remove the replacement and refund any money unless I paid a $50 labour fee, as well as guarantee that I would pay a further $180 for the new screen if he broke it during the removal process. He tried to persuade me that it would be a waste for me to have the old screen back because having the screen repaired by [redacted] directly would cost over $400. [redacted]During our negotiation he told me that the replacement screens are obtained from a supplier in China, which he insisted provides OEM quality parts. When I asked him what type of glass is used on the screens, he told me he did not know, but regardless insisted that it was the same. He acknowledged that the parts were not obtained from [redacted], and suggested that I should not expect original parts unless I was dealing with a [redacted] authorized warranty shop. The difference is obvious. He showed me another [redacted] phone which he claimed had an original screen, to demonstrate they were the same. This phone also had a cheap replacement. The difference was obvious.Product_Or_Service: Galaxy S4 Digitizer/Screen ReplacementDesired SettlementA full refund of the price paid would allow me to obtain an original replacement screen.

Missing phone pieces and improper service completedI sent my phone to be cleaned at nanotechnology aug 28. I was contacted a few business days later and told that my phone needed a part costing 240 and will take about a week for the part. I told the desk clerk that I will pay 40 for the cleaning and be by to pick the phone up in a couple days. Later that week I showed up to nanotechnology to pick up my phone and she had told me to show in another hour and my phone would be fixed and ready for pick up. I asked why my phone is being fixed and she said she had me accepting charges to fix the phone. I asked not to fixed it but rather return my phone to me. She said she'd have a manager call me . The manager called me later that day and was very irate. He was [redacted] telling me my phone was broken before I dropped it off. He said that he had no garuantee when it comes to phones and that they break all the time. After he calmed down he asked me if we could agree on 140 and he'd replace the screen with a refurbished on from saskatoon I agree that a working phone was better then a now in pieces phone and accepted his offer. He told me it will be a week. I accepted. Later that night he left a message and said the phone is ready for pick up. I then picked up the phone on September 15 and I was charged 40 bucks for cleaning and now have a broken phone Desired SettlementI would like [redacted] a 40 dollar refund or my phone replaced

Cell Phone repairs turn into major problems. My daughter took her [redacted] in to Nanotech in July 2015, because her screen was cracked. She paid $100.00 to have it fixed and she brought it home and about a couple hours after having it back, the phone started to just shut off by itself. We could not contact them as it was after hours. My daughter took it in the next day and asked to talk to the manager about the issue. He told her that he would look to see if the wiring from when they had repaired the screen was wrong. Then he called her on my phone and told her that the wiring was done wrong when one of his staff had repaired the screen. He then said that he could give her a [redacted]. She was willing to pay $100 for an [redacted], which she did buy. This phone was not even new when she got it as there were dents on it and the screen was partially lifting in spots. Her [redacted] was only a couple months old but since there was no [redacted] care we had to pay for the repair of the screen. The [redacted] worked good for a few months, up til about Feb 2016, then the camera stopped working, it started to freeze giving her a black screen. When she got the phone she was told that there was a one year warranty so she called them the day after this occurred when the store opened and explained the problem and they told her she could bring it in and see what was wrong. When she went to pick up the phone from Nanotech looking at it, a staff member told her that he cleaned the camera and glued the screen down. After this the phone worked for a while, then screen lifted back up and started to do things on its own like open apps that she did not select to be opened, her calls started to hang up on its own. She then called the manager on Friday March 18th 2016, and he told her that her 6 months was up, even though she was told she had a year warranty on the phone, so there was nothing they could do. [redacted]. This phone has been into Nanotech on a few occasions since she had it there last July, and none of this would have happened if they had not messed up the wiring on her ** which they never gave her back, when she purchased the **, which she should not have had to purchase when they ruined her phone in the first place. Desired SettlementShe should get the $100 back that she paid to repair the **, which they ruined because they messed the wiring up, and never returned this phone.Since she left them with a [redacted] that was like brand new, she should be getting a phone back that is almost brand new, not one that is dented and screen lifting like the one she got. She has had nothing but issues with this phone and the company, constantly having to go into the store and nothing gets solved. The fact that her initial phone was only a couple months old and she was given a dented up phone that was clearly used and repaired, and never given back her old phone which I paid for she should be given a new one back.
