Naomi's Studio & Salon

When considering using Salon Naomi, be sure to thoroughly read ALL aspects of the contract in detail. My wedding was scheduled for Aug. 1st, and I contracted for Salon Naomi to do airbrush makeup for myself, and 2 others. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, my wedding is canceled. Obviously when this happens, things and emotions are raw. When I called to cancel my reservations, I anticipated not getting my deposit back, but was shocked to learn that not only would I not be getting it back, but I would be charged an additional $200 for canceling outside of 3 days after the contract was signed. (it had been 10 days). I asked to speak to the owner to see if there was anything that could be done as obviously this is a difficult time, and was told that she could call me back, but most likely not. I said that it unfortunate and that I would not recommend them to a friend or family member as I found this disheartening and somewhat cold.The receptionist then proceeded with a snarky boastful comment, telling me that "That wouldn't be a problem because Naomi books over 80 weddings..." I couldn't even listen to the remainder as I had just told her my wedding was canceled. Talk about no consideration, empathy, or professionalism. When I cut her off, she told me she would be sure to have Naomi call me, in the same snarky way - so I am sure now I will not have the $200 additional charged waived.
As I said it does state this in the contract, just be sure when booking you are aware of this policy, and are prepared to encounter potential rudeness when at your most vulnerable.
