Failed to provide agreed in store credit for a returned bike seat.
Around July 2019 I purchased many items including a bike seat from Naples Cyclery. I purchased the seat from Jamie with the condition of I did not like it I could return it for an in store credit since the store did not have a demo seat to try. At the time of purchase, Jamie confirmed with the manager this would be ok.

Approximately a week later I returned the seat. I was told I had an approximate $240 in store credit. I have no receipt as it was to be used for future purchases.

I called Feb 2020 to have them use the credit to order a new seat for me. At that time I was told they show no credit, do not have the seat, and have switched systems. Jamie has subsequently quit as well and the manager has denied me my credit.

I assume they resold the seat as it was used only once. I would not have purchased the seat if I could not return it.

Desired Outcome

I just want what I was told I would have, an in store credit for the product I returned. If they lost it, resold it, or had a bad employee that is not my issue. I want what I was told I would get.

Our records indicate *** made the purchase of the saddle on June 10 of 2019. After that date, we show zero transactions with ***. For a return, it's protocol here to either refund the payment to the original card or cash OR issue store credit which is held on file. We show none of that ever taking place.

That is the issue. Their employee, Jamie, did not put my in-store credit in their system when I returned my seat. To my knowledge I was told it was in the computer. To further the problem, Naples Cyclery got a new computer system. They also do not employ Jamie anymore to verify my story. Ultimately, they got the new seat back and I got nothing!

We can only go off of what we have as evidence in our point of sale systems. We are currently using Lightspeed as our point of sale and have been since last fall. We have no *** in that system. We still have our old point of sale system and I have attached photos of *** customer profile as well as purchase history. As you can see, the last transaction she made with Naples Cyclery was June 10, 2019 when she paid for a bicycle fit and a new saddle. That is the last transaction (sale or return of any kind) that we show. We have no record of her saddle ever being brought back in the store.

When I did my fitting and purchased the saddle, Jamie got specific permission to sell me a new saddle with the ability to return for an in store credit only. It was my understanding from Jamie the store would use the returned saddle as a test saddle after I returned it. I returned the saddle and Jamie indicated the credit was in the computer. My guess is you all have lent it out and never got it back, at my expense.b You do not provide any paperwork to the customer showing the credit. This is terrible customer service considering the cost of the saddle and basically I trusted that Jamie put it on the computer. You switched programs and Jamie is gone. All I want is what I was told by the manager and Jamie I would get if I didn't like the saddle. Never mind the fact the fitting was terrible.

You admit I bought the saddle but can't recall getting it back in inventory as a test saddle. That is terrible service. Jamie and the manager knew it was returned.
